You can't sleep on it because it'll blow past its current point. I wanted to buy more at $120 last night but said I'll do it in the morning. Well I woke up and it was at $145. Then I said screw it and bought more and now it's up to $165.

I've got [redacted]. I'll probably just let that ride. I've also got enough btc to act as a foundation in case of an Eth crash.

What is your friends thought on the almost certain cryptocurrency bubble? I think ETH might be immune to a crash to some extent, but certainly it will have to be affected when it inevitably pops.

I am keeping a little money aside now to buy up more if there's a big dip again.

So mad at myself for only doubling my money when it could have been tripled by now.

Early adopters of Ponzi schemes usually do just fine. Hang in there...

Was selling off a few hundred dollars worth of coins as it rose from my initial buy of around $77. Bought another 16 coins at $140 yesterday. Being up a little over $2k in less than a month, I wouldn't be as concerned with this thing falling off the edge of the earth if it didn't trade/fluctuate 24 hours a day. In a normal market you could just get out during the day, with the cryptos you could wake up with your pants around your ankles...

I'm kicking myself for selling some (29) around $100, with my cost around $80. Been buying on the way up once it hit $120. I try not to fret on it, because I locked in some profits and am still very much ahead.

I agree that it trading 24/7/365 certainly puts a different spin on it. Could wake up with your pants around your ankles fapping or otherwise....

Interesting. I've been in for a bit as well. I'm probably going to buy more once it corrects after this rally.

To answer an earlier question, IMO I don't think it's too late to buy. If eth continues on this trend, it could surpass bitcoin eventually. So getting in at $170 pales in comparison to it selling for $1000+. That takes the position that this is a long-term hold though, and not a get rich quick scheme.

Based on application alone, I've felt that ETH should be worth more than BTC. At this point in time, I don't think either of them should be worth as much as they are now, but I definitely like ETH more than BTC.

The main thing is that BTC has the awareness factor. This conference seems to be boosting ETH notoriety and it could be the factor that brings the two closer together in value.

I do fear for the upcoming hard fork that ETH will see, but moving to PoS is necessary.

I agree. Rationality says that eth is currently running on hype and will crash a bit sooner rather than later. I don't think it's a bubble per se, but definitely worth being mindful of. I'll just buy more when it falls .

I read on mashable that the market cap for all cryptocurrency has gone up $16M just over the weekend...there is definitely a bubble but even with a crash, a buy-and-hold position on ethereum could end up being very lucrative if its applications start getting incorporated into industry like it's hyped up to

How can you possibly value these currencies? How do you or anyone decide to exit? I can't see these things as anything other than a pure speculative vehicle at this point. I don't think they are going away or anything but this appears to be CLASSIC FOMO mania. Just don't be the last guy holding the bag.
