Yes they are legal, and I've run a few. Always loved my V1 better than anything else. Doesn't have all of the fancy GPS crap that new ones do, but IDGAF, I don't use it in New Orleans, just on the highway.

And I am a former Valentine 1 owner (over 20 years). V1 is great, but it's too chatty.
