Former Tiger Andrew Stevenson off to a hot start...

Season Stats
Stevenson is currently batting .432 for the Double-A Harrisburg Senators. He went 5-5 tonight and 5-7 last night. Obviously, baseball is streaky, but this has to bode well for his future when you consider how good he is defensively.
Is he the best defensive outfielder we've ever had? Mikie Mahtook comes to mind, but I can't remember anyone more spectacular in the field than Stevenson.

Is he that really slow outfielder we had once?

Glad Stevenson is doing so well, he is definitely the best outfielder I have seen at LSU, and I am 65.

I thought about including Leon Landry and Jared Mitchell, but I think Mikie was better than both when they all 3 shared the same outfield, and I think Stevenson was better than all 3. Again, this is defensively.

We were spoiled to have him and Laird out there for years. Every ball in the air to the right of the left fielder and not over the fence was caught

Mahtook isn't in the conversation.
Leon Landry was pretty fricken good, but I'd give the slight edge to Stevenson. I wouldn't argue against Landry though.
I think Stevenson was faster, and got better jumps, but Landry was more athletic to catch home runs and had a better arm.

Landry was really, really good. Some of the catches he made were almost unimaginable. He made quite a few of those crazy catches, and seemed to come at crucial times like when we were on the streak heading to omaha

Your argument for Leon is fair. I seem to recall him robbing one against UC Irvine way back when that was just ridiculous. Strictly my opinion, but if I could only pick one to start in CF, it would be Stevenson.
In regard to Mahtook, how is he not in the conversation? He may be a little behind the other two, but not by much.

Thought Leon played LF most of his time here? Admittedly not sure, Been a minute

I believe Stevenson had better instincts than Leon. He made difficult plays look really easy. Leon had the better athleticism and tended to make easier plays look more difficult. That being said, Mahtook had a better arm than both of them.

Leon was really good. Jared was a pretty terrible outfielder.

Cedrick Harris was pretty damn good too

Leon is the answer and he played CF except for the 2nd half of 09 when he was benched and was used as a spot starter in LF

I have no idea who Madking is. I'm assuming a troll of some sort.
Cedrick Harris is a good one to throw out there. I was pretty young during that 1997 season, but I have some memories of him.

This.
Both were excellent.
Just had slightly different strengths and weaknesses.

Not trying to be that guy but it's appears he's bating .432 in his past 10 games.

Wasn't he below the Mendoza line as a freshman? His improvement as a hitter is remarkable.
