See, my kids have gotten somewhat worldly experience through these video games you speak of.......the 3 of them are like a working model of the Koreas. The little one is North....
Seriously, ours play but are limited to non-violent gaming. No Call of Duty, GTA, etc. They are car-racing/building experts.

what does this mean?
Probably has to do with a kid making fun of him when he was pretending to be a retard the other week.

I've been playing video games since Pong. Not gonna stop any time soon.

You know when prior to leisure reading became popular people said the same thing about books.

I was adopted and lovingly raised by an Atari 2600. I fail to see the problem here.

Donkey Kong and his krew kidnapped me from the krib raised me in the jungle until the police found me when I was 13. It was a pretty normal life.

quote:I have twin 5 year old boys, and it's tough...once they started playing video games, basically everything else became 10 times less fun, and that's all they want to do, and they're on a time limit so they don't play it any time they want. They basically get 20-30 minutes(basically while I make dinner) right when they get home from school, and after that it's dinner then we go outside, weather pending.
i let my kids play video games (well my son is only interested in them) but I also take him out fishing and hunting and play basketball/throw the football/baseball with him outside all the time.
But they ask about it constantly. Probably once a month we'll go 3 days with no video games just because that's all they whine about, so i take it away...that doesn't help, they still whine about it every day.
The only time they get to play a lot is weekend mornings. They wake up at 7am, and I ain't getting up till 9am, so they get their fill of video games every Sat/Sun morning.

the middle school games are legendary with mine
they pull all nighters
they are starting to lose interest as high school is about to start for other things
he still likes it for NBA and MLB though

Should be more worried about how the ones are raised that shoot old men in the streets.

you should definitely give them beer, cigars, and let them badly troll a sports message board, instead
