GCHQ has said it is "utterly ridiculous" to suspect they conducted any surveillance of Trump or his team!
No they did not.
Yet, as I said at the time their denial actually was a non-denial.

Trying to be relatable just there since the whole "incidental collection" thing seems to be a hard concept for some
There's nothing incidental about proactively searching the results of routine surveillance for specific people, or disseminating routine surveillance when it contains information about specific people. That seems to be a hard concept for about 5 people on this board.

You are clueless if you think the U.K. Govt was neutral in2016. Heck, they wanted Obama in 2012 over Romney, see the comments when Romney visited U.K. Summer of 2012. They wanted dirt on trump regardless of a Russian connection and turn that over to Obama admin to use, so they spied on him. The Russian story right now is a farce to cover up the fact trump was being spied on.

There is the potential for abuse, but that's another matter.

Since when is spying on political opponents ethical? It's not and this will be what everyone thinks of when they hear Obama's wretched name.

quote:Well none of that gets to the question. I'm not interested in which candidates elements within the U.K. theoretically wanted to win. I'm interested in whether or not their agencies carried out activities inconsistent with their mission. There's currently no evidence suggesting they did.

And FWIW, if I had to choose between worrying about which candidate the U.K. and the rest of the civilized world wanted and the candidate that Russia and other unsavory actors wanted, I know which would concern me more from a foreign policy and national security perspective.

Your ability to avoid admitting your man Obama pulled another IRS targeting scandal on steroids is truly comical.
It is obvious you are realizing the truth of what Obama did and i think deep down, you recognize it was scummy.
But you'll die before admitting it on this board.

Just look at the countries that align themselves with the parties. Democrats have England taking their side, one of the first democracies and strong ally in every war since world war 1. Republicans align themselves with a dictatorship that has been against the us in every war since world war 2. Just shows you where each parties priorities lie

Don't worry. It's all going to come out. It can't be stopped at this point.

They were monitoring some guys with connections to Moscow in the conduct of their routine activities. Not really their fault that some in "Trump's team" were so keen on playing beer pong with that particular crowd, is it?
That's what they claim now. Their first comment was they weren't spying
Why do you believe them at all?

What's really shocking is that CNN reported this.
Little Donnie Lemon said he wouldn't insult our intelligence by talking about it.

Ted Kennedy went to The Soviets back in the 80's and begged them to help him stop Ronald Reagan. That is a FACT. Did "The Lion of the Senate" break the law?
Let's say Trump asked Putin to release what he had on Hillary. No votes were changed. No voting machines were hacked. And nothing that was not true was put out there. If anything we ought to pin a medal on Putin if he did it.
Were any actual laws broken by Trump if he said put it out there? This wasn't election tampering it was whistle blowing. The Dem primaries were rigged. There were debate moderators and reporters colluding with the Clinton Campaign. All true, nothing false was released.
There is ZERO evidence of Trump colluding with any Russians. NO EVIDENCE of any financial connections no matter what the tin hat posting here says, he has no evidence. Yet there IS evidence of DNC election rigging, THAT is who tried to rig this election and they broke the law to do it. They have broken it again because they cannot accept the results and some of them WILL go to jail over it.

Really, that's why they opposed Brexit? A vote that was the epitome of how a democracy should work. And in fact, tried to find ways to negate THAT DEMOCRATIC PROCESS
Sorry, but there are no good guys anymore

Lest we forget the GCHQ denied spying on Trump no less than a month ago. Here is their direct quote.....
“Recent allegations made by media commentator Judge Andrew Napolitano about GCHQ being asked to conduct ‘wire tapping’ against the then-president-elect are nonsense,” a spokesperson for the agency said in a statement. “They are utterly ridiculous and should be ignored.”
Obama Spied, GCHQ lied....

He doesn't
But if he doesn't the lie, he has to admit the truth.
And, he's dishonest so, that ain't happening.
