I had this problem today testing with speedtest-cli on my headless server...jumped onto att.com/speedtest (per the advice of the chat tech) on my laptop and got 860+ up and down consistently. I didn't believe it so I jumped into a VM on the server that was giving me low numbers and got high results from att.com/speedtest...tested the same VM on speedtest.net and sub 400-600 again.

I couldn't see what servers were being used for the Att test but I could see that speedtest.net was using one from Oklahoma with no closer option.

Because your computer is a PoS.

ETA: And as for the original question, I absolutely love it. I get above 900 up and down consistently and it never goes out. I hate the NAT issues, but unless you are torrenting you rarely run into them.

I ran into this a few weeks ago for a customer with a recent installation. She was paying for the gig but only getting 180mbps download speeds that were really choppy on speedtest.net. She told me she recently switched from Cox so I released her ip settings from the command prompt and let the computer re-establish the connection. On the next speed test we got 940mbps download speeds. Try the simple things first ;-).
