Just loaded up on bream. Dirty water but didn't matter. Poppers and night crawlers were the ticket. Must have caught between 40-50. Kept 17 monsters for dinner

Can one eat bream eggs?

Also caught some nice trout in Leeville this weekend. Fished around Fourchon but only found clean water in a few canals. Snagged a some reds there. But west side of Leeville was happening with the trout. Water was crazy low. Would love to know how many people got stuck.

Not I, but then again I didn't go. Made some $ though.
Was a beautiful w/e for most sun wise and hopefully
wind wise in your locations.

Heading to Leeville Thursday. Hoping the wind calms down a little.

Debating whether to start near Lake Jessie, or head across Little Lake towards the islands...

I've heard people are doing well in Lake Jessie and Bayou Blue.

Is this the weekend results thread? I wouldn't say I killed the fish. But I had quite a few good days of fishing.

Wednesday I took Pillage Jr. out on the boat. It wasn't his first boat ride. But it was the first fishing trip just him and I. So I took him to Henderson and mostly just rode him around in the boat. Every now and then I'd stop to fish in some spots I wanted to try. He'd throw his Mickey pole with the rubber fish on it. We did that for a little over 2 hours. I caught 5 bass, but he caught many "big fish" and put his pop to shame. It was a great day!

Excuse his booger

Went up to Toledo Bend Thursday. Fished in Lowes for a little while in the afternoon. Caught a little mess.

Friday we fished in Housen with about a hundred other boats. We caught about 30. Kept about a dozen.

3 of the fish in this pic went back in the water. Released by the camp.

Saturday we fished Six Mile for about 4 hours. Caught 3 fish. Wind got so bad that we packed it up and didn't go out in the boat for the rest of the trip.

Fished a little from the bank and drank beer. Caught a couple little ones. Sunday morning I went mess around by the bank for a little bit. Caught a hammer.

Fishing with my son was the highlight of my week. When he catches his first fish by himself, I'll probably be way more excited than him.

I dont know of many options. Topwater if you need shallow slope ramp. Public launch if you like the chance of watching someone wind up on the LA 1 truck in water thread. I like Terrys for bait

Where do you fish out of? Thought it was too early for Mangroves.
