I agree. Hell of a fish regardless and I'm not trying to stir things up

But that doesn't look like a 100lb cobia

Not trying to take away the fact he caught a great fish. Just trying to calibrate his forearm scale.

Like I said, still a hell of a fish and I'd be proud as hell of it.

This one was caught recently in Destin and is 98.8, I don't think the OP's is that far off. I can never judge cobia well.

They're deceptive a little bit because of how long they are

They are also very very easy to make look huge. I've seen pictures of plenty of 35 lbers that look every bit of 75 because of camera angle and what not because of how long they are and holding them by the gills makes them look biger than normal.

Yeah idk guys I was told he weighed it on two scales at 100 pounds. Unless he lied to me which I doubt or both scales were off idk. It was not certified scales so that is possible. He tried to weigh it at bridgeside and the only people working were women and they told him they didn't have any scales. Dad said he told them they do have scales he has seen them and used them and they are a certified weigh station for the star tournament. They claimed they didn't know where they were. So he got pissed and took it to someone's camp that was at the launch that said he had a scale. Still a good fish though wish I'd been there for that one!
