UPDATE: Have a Honda Rincon 680 that stopped running....

Not getting any fire to spark plug. Plug is new and I changed the coil. No luck.
I would rather not pay an arm and a leg at a dealership. Does anyone know a shade tree mechanic in Baton Rouge area who works on 4 wheelers who may be able to help me troubleshoot this thing?
Update: Changed the crankshaft positioning sensor (CKP) this afternoon and got it running. Downloaded the service manual and followed the troubleshooting steps, and steps to change CKP sensor. Also put a new battery on it, since it was original battery.

Have you checked the fuses? Hopefully it's not your ECM.

Eddie Noland - off hwy 42 in pville-out of his house. Dudes a boss and processes deer meat too!
Edited out his number in case he doesn't want it publicized. Just stop by with 4 wheeler and talk to him. In between LeBlancs and Hwy 42 / has wave runners and ATVs outside.

If you don't get it running, holler at me and you can use the Honda Recon that's in my way in my tool room.
It's about time for it to go!

Unfortunately I ran a battery down one morning on a goose hunt trying to start my Honda with the kill switch off. Happened many years ago but still laugh about it from time to time.

I don't think my Rincon will even turn over unless the switch is in the on position. Believe me I checked because this is the kind of dumbassery I am capable of

This is the switch we are referring too.

Just seeing if you got it running.

Not yet. I think it is the crankshaft positioning sensor. Deciding whether to tackle it myself or have a pro do it.

Switch was ok. Thanks for suggestion.
