They lasted a year

Not a full repeal but the ball is going back to the NCAA's court:

quote:

HB2 was passed last March under former Gov. Pat McCrory. The bill sparked a massive political and financial backlash and a showdown with the NCAA. The NCAA has said it would not let North Carolina host college championship games through the year 2022 unless there were changes to the law made by Thursday.

quote:

The state's House passed the bill 70-48 on Thursday afternoon after nearly two hours of heated debate. The state's Senate passed the bill by a 32-16 vote earlier in the day, after a deal was struck late Wednesday by the state's new Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper, who campaigned on fully repealing the HB2 bill, and North Carolina's leading Republican lawmakers, who have supported the measure.

I just don't give a frick about bathrooms. Can we just go back to awkwardly avoiding eye contact and leaving as fast as possible?

No one does, which is why it's odd that so many felt this bill had to be put in place. I never realized there was any issue to begin with.

Good. Neither side needs to be making laws regarding this bs. Just leave it to the businesses

If one wants girls with dicks in the girls restroom then fine. If they don't then that's fine too.

It wasn't until the LGBTQA lobby decided it was "discrimination" to have rest rooms based on sex. Common sense should prevail and truly transgendered people should just use the rest room that matches their outward appearance and no one would know or care.

I agree the concern about pervs taking advantage of it is over blown, as if the current standard would stop them, but its not just public bathrooms it's anything designated by sex, including showers/locker rooms even in schools, fitting rooms in stores etc. Is having men's and women's sports discrimination against transgender people? It's a pathetic waste of time and energy but There will be a lot of unintended consequences down the road if we decide that biological fact is not the determining factor in sex/gender.

THe locker room thing is the only thing that gives me problem.

I say let private businesses do whatever the frick they want. If people don't agree with their policy then go elsewhere.

Things like schools for bathrooms should just be do what you've been doing. Locker rooms is different though since there isn't any reasonable privacy like in bathrooms.
