Looking at how nice her office was and all the assistants coming in to shield her from camera really chapped my arse with them crying last year before the tax passs of how poor the COA was
Typical
And that is why I will vote against any tax I can, spend the money you already have wiser and you would not need anymore

Do you feel the same way about your personal life? Do you avoid raises and just spend your money more wisely?
Just wondering...

WTF are you even talking about? I work for myself, therefore I Eat what I kill, some years are better than others and when times are lean I cut back and make do with less. The amount of fraud and abuse in all levels of government spending my tax dollars is sinful. I believe that to live in a great society like ours that we need to contribute to it, however when the government repeatedly squanders tax money it is sickening, show me that you are a good Stewart of the money you have already taken from me and if you need more come talk, but waste what you have and I will not support giving any more

What government agency do you work for?

Gary Chambers 12 hrs · Remember when the CATS tax got approved, a black man was the head of CATS. The white business community attacked the agency. He resigned. They hired a white man with no transit experience to run CATS. That man has since resigned and we never got a better bus service. The attacks on the Council on Aging has less to do with bad leadership and more to do with white leaders not wanting blacks in charge of the tax dollars.

This is an incredibly moronic statement.

Yeah, Gravy always trying to make it a race issue, but I was just as voacl about the state troopers "vegas vacation " under the leadership of Edmonston
Posted on 3/30/17 at 8:59 am to Tigerpaw123
i'm talking about his claims of tax dollars being controlled by the leadership at the COA
What the frick does tax dollars have to do with 2 women taking estate money from the 95 year old woman?

Wasn't the CATS director Gary is referencing busted paying his cable bill from his CATS credit card?
Posted on 3/30/17 at 9:06 am to meauxjeaux2
Because, gravy thinks if it were white women doing that , nobody would care and we are just mad and trying to dig up dirt on the leadership of COA because they are black, of course that is just silly, but when do the facts have anything to do with what gravy thinks?

Why do we need a COA? Exactly what do they do? Mostly, it seems like an excuse to order another $50K vehicle for someone to drive around in. DARE seems to be about the same. Couldn't they drive a Malibu instead of a big SUV decaled up like a pseudo-police vehicle?
All of those programs are charades. The benefits they provide are minimal at best and don't come close to justifying the costs incurred. You'll usually find the senior management to be relatives of politicians or politicians themselves.

I believe you are correct

If you don't like Gravy, stop talking about Gravy.
Posted on 3/30/17 at 9:17 am to FightinTigersDammit
You do realize that DARE is funded mostly from money obtained from drug busts don't you??

The story is that black people with the COA somehow got themselves in an elderly black person's will (even notarized it) right?
That's racist?

quote:Correct. I have no fricking idea how the tax being passed and black women being in control of the new revenue has anything to do with them doing to that womans estate.

The two have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Nakamoto- you took money illegally from a 95 year old woman.
Gravy- they jus mad cause black wemen in charge of BR tax revenue.

Just saw the specifics. That Amar lady is supposed to get $500/month for the next 21 years from the estate. That's almost half of the entire estate.
Shady as fuuuuuuuuck. I hope she gets fricking hammered over this shite. There has to be some violation of ethics laws here somewhere.

Here is Tasha Clark Amar:
quote:
Plummer began going to the Council on Aging two years ago. Her family said she had the ability to make people laugh. Her legacy of love that she instilled in all of her family members lives on.
"My grandmother was a hardworking woman," Dan Freeman, Plummer's grandson said. "We were a close family. My mom, grandmother, they had a good relationship. She was a loving person."
A family photo that was taken recently is the last memory they all have of everyone together.
"She was a short little old lady who minded everyone else's business," Jacquelyn Antoine, Plummer's daughter said with a smile. "She knew everything that went on."
quote:
They said after Plummer began attending the Council on Aging about two years ago, she met Clark Amar. In July of last year, Plummer signed documents that were drawn up by attorney and the agency's board member, Dorothy Jackson. The documents made Clark Amar - the agency's director - the overseer of Plummer's estate. Jackson admitted to WBRZ, she wrote the document and even notarized it. The family didn't have a clue it existed, until they said they got a call from Clark Amar less than 24 hours after Plummer's death.
"After my grandmother passed, we were preparing for the funeral and my sister received a phone call saying she (Clark Amar) was the executrix over my grandmother's estate," Freeman said. "We never heard of her before then."

Is there no fricking topic that Gravy will not turn into a racial one or place the blame on white people? Seriously?
Hey Gravy

Baton Rouge needs infrastructure, and that takes taxes....but I can't blame you or anyone else for being so skeptical of local and state government. They've proven time and time again to be irresponsible if not criminal with Louisiana's tax dollars.
