Chest/tris day, but working out at different times

Are there any disadvantages to working out your chest in the morning and get your tris workout in that afternoon, as oppose to just getting the workout in all at the same time? Just trying to cut some time down at gym, especially if I'm limited on time in the morning. TIA

I doubt it makes enough of a difference for anyone to notice or care.

If ur a professional bodybuilder with all the drugs, supplements, food, and ability to sleep all the time then yea do it. If not then u will prob won't recover to where it's a real advantage.

If your going to the gym twice a day, you will see better results if you do half of your combo triceps/chest routine in one workout then do the other half a few days later.
Make the second workout a different muscle group like legs so you can hit it twice

Arnold Schwarzenegger always worked out chest and back on the same day

I've hit chest heavy in the morning (which works the tri's a bit) then came back that evening and did high rep tricep work with abs or squats.
Had no issue with my tris being worn out. And my chest usually want even feeling the AM workout yet. I would throw in weighted dips for sets of 12 and "cheat" by leaning forward on my last reps when I was burnt out.

Correct
You always balance a push movement with a pulling movement.
I super set my chest exercise with a back one.

I'm doing my rings on a push/pull split.

I do just chest by itself and go all out on it. Do arms on another day by itself biceps/triceps. I lift 5 days a week so my personal thought which doesnt mean its correct is if chest day gets in some work on triceps then a few days later really working out tris on arm day I will get more tricep work done if I rushed it or worked it only on one day with chest.

If you're not squatting, you're wrong.

If you are trying to cut down time in the gym then focus on the big five barbell movements and quit doing single joint accessory work.

It is very good for your joints as the agonist and antagonist muscles are both pumped at the same time. I actually feel stronger when I use this split

Bmath is correct.
Let's face it guys, no one is pro or going pro. You can obtain the same results doing what he said as you think you're doing with these intricate and over thought splits.

False. That is a perfectly fine way to do it, but do a chest/back/legs 3 day split is fine too.

Is going to the gym twice a day really that much more efficient?

You're gonna cut some time at the gym by going twice?
So driving there twice, parking twice, changing twice, warming up twice, and showering twice?
I'd stick to doing it all in one visit.

Yeah, I don't really see the benefit. If time is an issue you don't need much time to get a workout in. 45 minutes is really all you need.

This. Chest gets it's own day for me. You are going to use alot of triceps in the chest workout so they are going to be already fatigued as it is. Best to do them either in strictly an arm only workout or with shoulders.

If you have enough time to drive to the gym twice, work out twice, and take two showers you need another hobby.
