Yup. But you aren't graded on your performances in May at LSU.

Completely understand that and don't want that to change. My point this morning is against the season is over crowd. There is still plenty of baseball to be played. CPM deserves criticism. Maybe not as much as he is getting but he does deserve most of it.

So, we've circled back to "I'm a better fan than you". Awesome.

You lose any argument with a douche response like this.

I've never been to Omaha either. 2008/2009 I had prior commitments, 2013 I had an infant on the way and couldn't pull that off with finances and Mrs. ell. 2015 I had a hotel booked and ready for week 2...

I've been more than you. Clearly, I'm the bigger fan.

Sucks for you bro.

I'm lost. What does how many games you have attended in Omaha mean?

I've been to Omaha, Ell hasn't, he seems like a very knowledgeable baseball fan to me.

How do you measure passion? Because that's what being a fan is really about.

Being critical and debating is what keeps this board going and makes talking sports fun.
I agree there are more knowledgeable fans, but why do people feel the need to come swing their fan stick around.
We're all Tiger fans, we all want the same thing. The end.

Being a fan does not make you knowledgeable about a sport. I believe I know a lot about the game of baseball but I'll admit that my LSU love gets in the way and I am way too optimistic about them all the time. I have been sticking up for lsu all year and will continue. My fandom gets in the way of my baseball knowledge sometimes and I don't even care because at the end of the day if I'm not positive in my favorite team I just don't see the point in being a fan. I'm sure I could find something to do with my free time that doesn't make me miserable if LSU baseball started to. Some people don't think like me and that's fine. Doesn't mean I won't quit sticking up for LSU and CPM.

With every season there is hope the team will be better than the last, it's what fans do... hope...
We as seasoned fans and season ticket holders see the potential in this team and HOPE it will be different than the recent teams in terms of post season success past rhe SEC tourney. That hope gets escalated when they sweep a bad Georgia team, but crushed in a hurry when they can't sustain any momentum at Florida, then again last night when they can't build on the Sunday win.

The fear is all this tinkering is falling in line with all the recent years of tinkering. They play good mid season, get a national seed or on the cusp of it, play well in the SEC tourney and perhaps regionals and fade late. You see, this year is shaping up to be just like all the others since 2009, and we as seasoned fans HOPE to have a season better than that... this team, with the leadership in place, should be different than the rest... or at least we hope.

You're hoping things turn around.

No, I'm just refusing to over react because this a veteran team that just isn't hot right now. That has no bearing on where we'll be at the end of May.

quote:

The facts are this team hasn't proven it has the potential to host.

The facts are that there isn't a large enough sample size of this teams work this season to definitively say they won't even host a regional. Unless you want to count all the experience this team has, and that it was a worse team at this point in the season and was still a national seed last year.
quote:

The fact is this team is probably traveling up to this point.

No, there is not a fact that points in that direction. Not a single one. We're above .500 in SEC after our most difficult series all year and we have a legitimate 3rd starter for the first time in years on top of an all SS infield. Hitting has been admittedly lacking but if you think the top of our lineup is going to stay cold all year then you don't understand how baseball works nor have you seen these guys play.
quote:

So no one is an idiot for looking at the facts.

For someone who talks about facts so much you really didn't give any.

Feel free to bookmark this post and point and laugh at the end of May, or eat crow. Whichever one happens. It's going to be the latter though. If you really think that there are going to be 16 teams with a better body of work than us by the end of the season you need to watch a little more baseball and stop bitching on Tiger Rant.

The Tigers should make the NCAAs. I do think they'll be on the road, as a #2 seed.

You're a fricking child.

Argue with posters then make this weak arse statement when you act like a tool.

Oh, and for the topic at hand, you chode, PM has been terrible in Omaha the last few trips... his decision making was abysmal.

It became apparent images communicate better for internet faux-tough guys like you....you know, those types of people who crave winning arguments on a message board.
