To those who continue to defend Coach PM

Coach PM doesn't coach well under pressure. His players do not perform well under pressure which is a reflection of the coach. His players don't display mental toughness at key moments of games and he makes poor decisions at critical times during tight games. The 9th inning of last night's game was a perfect example of how he and his teams consistently under perform at crunch time.
We haven't performed well in the NCAA tournament for several seasons which is an indication of not playing well under pressure.
Coach PM will always have talented teams but that is more a reflection of the resources and recruiting available to him as head coach of the premier program in the country. What he has done with those teams is consistently underachieved in the postseason. I see no indication of this team having the mental toughness to change that trend.
If you are satisfied with just getting a national seed most seasons yet faltering badly in the tournament then PM will continue to meet your expectations.
As a program that has the best recourses available to win national championships we deserve better than PM.

Do you think UF should fire O'Sullivan? They constantly have super talented teams, but have never won a title. Can he not coach under pressure too?

In the past decade, 2 HC have won more NC than CPM. They won ......2. CPM has won one. The SEC just 2 years ago, the most competitive conference in the country. He's in the College Baseball HOF. etc etc etc.

Do you ppl seriously evaluate a coach on a game to game basis? What happens if LSU wins the last 2 games of the series? They might. Or. they may not, but they may sweep the next series.

People don't seem to realize that even if you are a national seed, you have like a 10% chance of winning the tournament. Baseball tournaments are largely random crapshoots. But people love to create stupid narratives like "he can't coach under pressure" so it seems less random.

florida & florida state - both have not won a nc in baseball & have more talent & resources over the years than lsu
we lost last night to the best pitcher in college baseball - the season is not over & i am not going to say we are going to win it all!
who do you propose we replace him with?
not knocking him - andy c. - ,but several months back - many wanted him to stay & cpm gone -
guess the pressure got to the ump - who called a strike in the 9th inning when it was a ball
let the game go down - as a great one - we lost 1-0!

He hasn't done much since defeating the Texas Longhorns in 2009 for the title. I still love him none the less because beating those arrogant bas'ards was the most important moment in NCAA BB!!

Do you believe Florida actually has the resources and potential that LSU has available? You're not comparing apples to apples.
