And what are they alleging the ties are? I just don't understand what it matters? Did the Russians hack machines, NO. Did the Russians change people's votes, No.

Exactly... grasping at straws. And this mantra has been going on since June & people still voted Trump. It doesn't matter!!! Until there is proof of something being against the law (not just looking bad) but evidence, what are we supposed to do?

What would you say if the Trump campaign was working with Russia/Russian hackers on coordinating the release of different leaks about Clinton during the campaign? Would you be ok with that as an American citizen?

It aught to be illegal for government officials to avoid answering questions to Congress. There should be no level of "classified" that is hidden from Congressional oversight.

I don't know, brah. I retired from the FBI right after my last blue rose case. My contacts say it's bad though. Real bad.

I actually agree with this. I think that any question a representative or senator asks should require an answer (excepting in the case where a citizen pleads the fifth, I've posted before on what should happen if a public servant pleads the fifth). I think that if a congressman/woman is dumb enough to ask about classified information it should be on his or her head for asking an ill-informed/potentially damaging question. Hopefully the outrage generated would remove some of the dumber elected officials. I get what Comey was doing today, but it was frustrating.

I agree, also, public officials should not be allowed to pleas the fifth when being questioned on their conduct in the course of their service to the people. If the IRS is targeting people for political reasons, they shouldn't be allowed to just plead the fifth. You don't get to avoid telling your boss what you did when your boss is the American people. If we're going to let them plead the fifth, they should immediately be suspended without pay until a verdict is reached.

Nonsense.

In a dog and pony show like today?

Some things are classified for a reason. In a classified meeting? Yeah frick Comey if he would not answer, but he would answer. Weve seen millions of these "I can't answer" moments. Foolish to put this on TV. Pure spectacle.

Yes, because straight answers in a dog and pony show would put it to rest.

Our President has NO EVIDENCE to support his claims that a former President wiretapped him. I'd say the President being outed as a liar is significant.

Yeah, we would have been much better off with the highly trustworthy Hillary Clinton. She is a veritable George Washington -- never told a lie.

There's not. The Gang of Eight has complete oversight and can see all the classified shite. Problem is, they can't talk about it either. Schiff and Nunes have access to it all.

But that's just me. On this board, that seemed to be a disqualifying thing when it involved the candidate from the other party a few months ago.

The difference, is that the FBI actually found evidence of classified information on Clinton's emails. FBI has been "investigating" for how many months now, and not "a smidgeon of evidence" has been found.

It went so poorly the Paul Manafort has been downgraded by Sean Spicer to "someone who had a limited role in the campaign" and Mike Flynn is now "a former campaign volunteer".

Those aren't lies you tell when things are going well.

Well seeing as Clinton was supposed to be using secure servers, i wouldn't think anything of it all. But since she circumvented the law and used private servers, i say she's fair game.

Depends on what was exposed. Exposure of criminal activity on the behalf of Clinton, absolutely.

Here's the sad thing you pathetic losers, i mean liberals forget. CLINTON WASN'T HACKED. PODESTA WASN'T HACKED. The idiot opened a phishing email. He was no more hacked than my grandmother. Does that mean my grandmother is working for the RUSSIANS???

Wait. You think Hillary Clinton was hacked and that it was due to her private server issue? You're combining the Clinton private server issue and the DNC hack issue? Do you realize those are 2 completely separate issues?

Your understanding of all of this is really superficial and flawed. Comey confirmed today that both the RNC and DNC were hacked.

A novice hacker could have done either. It wasn't pro level stuff

I have no idea whether you are correct about this, but assuming you are right, what is your point?
