Per sources, Clemson is retaining Brad Brownell. Hearing Will Wade turned down their offer. W/ LSU taking its time good chance WW stays #VCU

Joe Alleva is the gif of that kid that drives his little toy car into the mud and can't get it out so he just keeps his foot on the gas hoping for some divine assistance.

How did LSU go from just visiting there yesterday, to dragging its feet the next day?

LOL,a VCU coach trying to apply pressure. Yes losing his leverage as schools decide not to pursue him.

Nice try kid

'm no Joe Alleva fan, but if Joe interviewed Wade this weekend as inferred by reports, maybe he has others to interview, or maybe the interview didn't go well.

I'm not going to start worrying until Thursday.
I think by then we should have a coach, a good coach.

These "sources" are Wade's agent. He's doing his job by trying to create a 3-way bidding war for Wade.

If LSU really wants him to be the coach, then Alleva just needs to make a really strong offer and be done with it. Like Illinois and Mizzou did. Yes you may pay a bit more than you want, but that's probably what you have to do to make sure you get YOUR guy.

(FTR: I think the Crean news is LSU leaking info trying to force Wade or some other candidate to make a move)

Clemson keeping Brownell for whatever ridiculous reason hurts Wade's leverage. This is to up it.

Local beat writer (that nobody ever heard of) makes a statement not backed up by a credible source and the Rant goes crazy.

Damn that is funny stuff.

It's a done deal guys; Wiki already has LSU listed in his career head coaching resume.

LINK

quote:

Coaching career (HC unless noted)
2005–2007 Clemson (GA/Dir. of Basketball Ops.)
2007–2009 Harvard (asst.)
2009–2013 VCU (asst.)
2013–2015 Chattanooga
2015–2017 VCU
2017- LSU

Who would add that to Wikipedia if it wasn't true?
