to be honest. the majority of people in south louisiana dont' need 4wd. they rarely use it.

I think it looks good. Not a huge fan of the wide denser flares though. Maybe he doesn't need 4wd and just likes the look.

I love to make fun of people that buy 2wd trucks and try to make them look like they offroad a lot.
At least the people that buy diesels and don't pull anything can claim they did it for the longevity of the motor and fuel mileage

This was back in 1999. I don't know if they did then or not.
Nonetheless, he had a lift and 35" mud tires on a 2 door 2wd silverado. I'm 95% he just bought the stickers.

bed to throw stuff in and higher ground clearance I do a ton of offroading and only used 4wd 30% of the time when in my last truck.
i have a 2wd prerunner now. only offroad in the SxS.

ok thanks for explaining. I agree the bed would be a huge advantage. Maybe ill get one when I dont need to lug kids around anymore. I just think i'd like to have 4x4 on my truck just in case but I guess for an added what 4-5k? It may not be worth it if youre only going to use it a handful of times a year.
