no one, that is my point

No one out of college is worth giving up 3 first round picks for IMO

If we somehow went through with this, we still have an early 2nd round pick. Could see a player like Adoree Jackson staring right at us

That would be crazy. In 2017 and 2018, the Browns currently have:

3 1st round picks
5 2nd round picks

Imagine if we gave them two more 1sts

Not that I would trade that much for him, but just exactly who would you get in the draft that has proven anything in the NFL?

No one. But i can live with missing on 1 pick as opposed to 3.

I'm curious to see how the Moneyball approach to football works out 5 years from now. Right now I'm not impressed. I get you are getting a plethora of young players on the cheap for 5 years, but with how much of a crapshoot the draft really is will it play out in the long run?

Many LSU fans will tell you the guy is overrated. He disappeared every year we played them.

But who really knows?

He could be another JJ Watt, another Clowney or a Mario Williams.

I'd take my chances that with three draft picks that we'd get at least two top players rather than risk everything on one guy.

That's most LSU fans hating on him. Myles Garrett is legit and will be a monster. He was a beast day 1 as a freshman for A&M

if the team were really serious about getting high draft picks to help the team it would stop selling out to win the last 3 or 4 totally meaningless games when the only thing they accomplish is to drop down 6-8 draft spots lower in each round.

as for myles garrett, lets say he is the next answer to everyones prayers at that position, he still can play by himself so you need a team to field with him so go ahead and give away all our draft picks for this year and next year too and then you will have him playing on a team filled with 3rd string rejects and castoffs from other teams so even superman couldn't help you then lol

The Julio Jones trade is one of the few mega jump tades that has panned out. They went from #26 to #6 for a 1st, 2nd, and the 1st and 4th the next year. That said, these are rarely successful for the team moving up.

By the standard draft pick value chart, to move from #11 to #1 would require ALL of the 2017 draft picks + another 367pts. The 2018 1st added would still fall short but maybe close enough.

So the proper question is, would you sacrifice the entire draft and next year's 1st for Garrett? Silly, isn't it?

I love what the Browns are doing

It really is their only way to become relevant again. They won't lure in many big names, so acquiring as many picks as possible is a nice strategy. They have so many high picks the next 2 years. It will be interesting to watch how this works out

Just a fact, in three tries he didn't do much v LSU.

Fact is he could be a beast like Watt or a bust like Williams (who we passed over for Budh); I don't know.

But the pros don't always get it right either and that's why I thought three top round is better than one,

Garrett will be a wasted pick, will be another Mingo. Every time he played against a good team he was a ghost. will never be worth a top pick

This would lead me to, at a minimum, a 5-day bender during which period I could see me regrettably giving up my season tickets. Trading up is for suckers. Why is that so hard for people to understand?
