Watching Old Sopranos Eps...

And one of my favorites is "Whoever Did This", which is the one where Chrissy and Tony dispose of Ralph's body after Tony brutally murders him with his bare hands.
I always thought this was a turning point in Chrissy and Tony's relationship. The entire time they're going about their business they talk about deep issues like Chrissy and Aid having kids or the ramifications of Ralph's death on the crew. Without knowing what was going to eventually happen, one would think there was clear evidence in those scenes that Chrissy would become the heir to Tony's throne. It's sad to watch it now knowing what Tony would eventually do...

I just finished that season on my rewatch. I appreciate 4 now much more than I did originally. Ralph was a great character.

Ralph was a great character.
richie aprile had a similar characteristic, but he wasn't nearly as good.

Ralph was a dead man when he killed Tracee outside of The Bing. I always thought the death of Pie-O-My was a metaphor for Tracee's death and was what actually caused Tony to get so mad and snap.

I just finished my re-watch. I forgot how much I couldn't stand Paulie.
Spoilers:
I remember, vividly, watching the series finale in 2007 just knowing Tony was going to get wacked any second there at the end. Funny thing is, upon the rewatch, there were really no indications that lead the viewer to believe Tony gets killed. I guess it was simply the hype of the unknown when it first aired.

I heard "Don't Stop Believin" yesterday and the first thing I thought of was Sopranos.

Ralph was a monster, but it was sad when he broke down crying after his son was in the hospital. Showed a little humanity......however he then went and killed the horse for the insurance.

I never could figure out of I hated Paulie or the actor himself. I'd always heard he was an a-hole then I saw Triumph the insult comic dog interviewing him and Stevie Van Zandt. Van Zandt is laughing and taking it in stride while Tony Sirico is staring down a hand puppet, not in a joking way either. Frick him I'd rather they swapped him and Big Puss

Well he really was a gangster before acting so I'm guessing he probably is a bit of an a-hole and probably doesn't take insults very well.

He supposedly would only take the part if he wasn't a rat in it.
