For years. It's pronounced Fort. That is all. I'm trying to learn something to you fricks today.

How do you pronounce forte?
In forte we have a word derived from French that in its “strong point” sense has no entirely satisfactory pronunciation. Usage writers have denigrated \'fo?r-?ta\ and \'fo?r-te\ because they reflect the influence of the Italian-derived 2forte. Their recommended pronunciation \'fo?rt\, however, does not exactly reflect French either: the French would write the word le fort and would pronounce it more similar to English for. So you can take your choice, knowing that someone somewhere will dislike whichever variant you choose. All are standard, however. In British English \'fo?-?ta\ and \'fo?t\ predominate; \'fo?r-?ta\ and \fo?r-'ta\ are probably the most frequent pronunciations in American English.

I don't care how it's supposed to be pronounced, I'm not gonna go around saying something like "that's my fort" and look like an idiot.

You are correct.
But sometimes they change proper usage to fit the idiots that misuse or mispronounce things. They call it "evolving." It's horseshite and it's why saying "myriad of" is now acceptable.

People who use "Forte" in a sentence need to be kicked in the dick.

f or forte, meaning "loud"
It's been "fourtay" as long as I can remember it.

Me too. Still fort is correct.
Actually they both are accepted now simply because we've fricked it up so long.

Former BR news gal Toni Forte (fort) says "hey"

This - and I consider the OP an eFriend. But he is rong about this.
(Yes, "rong" motherfrickers - cash me outside.)

OP agrees with you too. That's why he chooses to never use it in a sentence. Ever

Did you read the OP? The usage you're referring to is Italian. The usage the OP is talking about is French.

I'm taken aback when I learned why Jason Derulo changed the spelling of his last name like he did.

But feel free to go ahead and sound dumb with your new found "knowledge"
