What if Kenyon Martin didn't break his leg?

With March Madness coming, I've always wondered what would have happened in the 2000 tournament if Kenyon Martin didn't break his leg in the C-USA tourney. They were the best team in the country by a wide margin that year but that play changed the entire landscape of CBB and the trajectory of Cincinnati's program.
I know, random thought and no real way to tell what would have happened, but that was a dominant team. What would have happened?

Memphis would win it all in 2008 if Rose makes that 2nd FT.
Off topic I know, but that is an underrated what if IMO.

Who knows what happens but that Cincy team was really really good. Huggins track record in the NCAAT isn't exactly sparkling though considering some of the teams he's brought in

Memphis was an abysmal free throw shooting team that entire season and it finally caught up to them at the worst possible time. That was a hell of a team though

2000 Cincinnati was his best team, IMO

That tournament seeding always pissed me off and confused me. Cincinnati finished the season number 1, like you said by a wide margin. But once Martin broke his leg, the committee decided to give them a lower seed, because they were playing without him (I think the 2nd seed instead of a number 1). So, they intentionally punished the team again and gave them a harder road to advance in the tournament. It just wasn't fair and I still don't understand the logic of why they did it..

I completely agree. Not really arguing just playing devil's advocate

Yeah, I can still remember Cal not giving two shits about FTs in an interview during the tourney run.

Yea that cinci team was good.

The best little fun fact about that game is that Memphis still shot better than their season average from the line that night

I was there at the Pyramid that day, playing hooky from school with my dad.
Surreal moment. Most paper tiger two-seed ever. Would have been overall number one without the injury, and the prohibitive favorite to win it all.
Side note - Cincy lost to 8-seed SLU that day, who won four games in four days to win the C-USA Tournament and anot NCAA bid.

What if Gordon Hayward hit that half-court buzzer-beater? It was very close, it's realistic. What if he came back another year and Butler managed to break 45 in the title game and went back to back?

If Huggins had won it all in 2000, would Cincinnati have been so eager to run him off after his DUI?
Also, that Gordon Hayward shot was surreal. Hell of a game.

IMO they win it all. Martin was an absolute beast.

What if the refs take off their blinders, and call on obvious foul on Memphis right before Chalmers made the tying 3 pointer as regulation ended? Memphis wins. But refs were too gutless to make the appropriate call.

That Tulsa game was hilarious.
Cincy players mocking the city before the game. Couple minutes in and they're down 12.
Cincy probably makes final four with Martin though. They would have handled Miami and UNC.
