"Quite well"? Down 19% from last year is quite well? With its massive pimping, it should be off the charts. That it is not speaks to the 2 hosts & their racist approach to any social issue.

I would bet you $100 you have African descent somewhere in your lineage.

I will pray for you.

I tried watching it one afternoon. There was some lame YouTube or some other video of an ESPN production assistant's wedding clip. I have zero interest in crap like that, so I changed the channel. Sad how far Sportscenter has fallen.

Head coach of the Lakers, late night talk show host and studio analyst, none of which lasted very long at all he was so bad.

Like Jerry West failing as Lakers head Coach for multiple years with 3 HOFers at their primes in Kareem, Dantley & Wilkes with aNixon/ Hudson backcourt.

( Magic only tried coaching for a dozen or so games after a bad West hire ( Randy Pfund) was fired . A 28-38 team Magic took over & Not full of Prime HOFers like West failed with.

After being demoted to Scouting Jerry West recommended the Lakers make the " safe pick" & take Sidney Moncrief over Magic Johnson. Good thing Jerry West could not tweet he'd take Moncrief over Magic in '79.

West also picked Anthony Peeler over Latrell Sprewell when he needed a SG.

West picked Drew Gooden over Amare Stoudamire.

Over 20 years his Draft picks are relatively uninspiring/ average( outside of Kobe who somewhat forced other teams hands).

This " talent evaluation" isn't quite the science that many make it out to be.

You keep typing paragraphs with no relevance. If you want to be a Lakers homer that's fine but it's a bad hire.

I was off on Friday, so I had a chance to check it out. I think one hour is far too long for those two, I got bored with it and changed the channel. They would be much better off with a half hour show, IMHO.

Someone else broke it down pretty well.

If any other team in the NBA needed someone for the same position, would they be calling and trying to get Magic? Obvious answer is no, so that basically tells you all you need to know about his qualifications.

I think at the very least, LeBetard has a point. And Russillo, while not echoing Dan, did say there is credibility to it and added that maybe the reason a lot of their colleagues at ESPN are so butt hurt about LeBetard's comments is that they just flat out like Magic. And that's okay.

Russillo and Kanell played LeBetard's response to this being a racial statement and Dan really did a good job of not crawfishing on his comments and basically maintained that the racial component of his comments were completely fabricated by others.

It's pretty ridiculous to accuse Lebatard of being racist against black people if you've ever listened to his show for even 30 seconds. ESPN ignorant race baiters trying to fit that round peg narrative into the square hole.

No doubt, but it's just funny that he has to be in this position while being the guy who never puts any stock into white people saying this over and over on a lot of issues, stating that black people are saying it's racial but it's not.

I keep texting FACTS.

Why are Magic Tweets relevant & West actual picks aren't? His 25 year old talk show?

West wanted Moncrief over Magic Johnson. Chose Peeler over Sprewell. Chose Drew Goodman over Amare Stoudamire.

West is on record thinking he has no use for analytic based nerds. He prefers the old school "eye test" .

West was a failed HC without Magics Executive success when he became GM.

We ignore Jerry West's actual picks ,but blast Magics random twitter thoughts to justify him being unqualified.

GTFO.

Ignore the tweets then. West was a coach for 3 years, making the conference finals once and the playoffs all 3 years. He then moved up to the GM role. If you think he was unqualified at the time, that's fine, but it doesn't change the fact that Magic seems unqualified on paper as well.

West had 3 prime HOFers Kareem , Jamaal Wilkes & Adrian Dantley in their prime & all star vets like Nixon / Hudson .

He was demoted to Scouting ( Not promoted to GM) & a ceremonial advisory position were he recommend picking Moncrief over Magic.

West's bad hire Randy Pfund ( 28-38) was Magic attempt at coaching over 15 games after Pfunds firing.

Compare rosters .

West needed a Forward & chose Drew Gooden over Amer Stoudamire.

West choice was Moncrief over Magic.

Good enough? That's real . Not random twitter thoughts.
