After watching Tucker in this recent episode I have a question

He was arguing with a guy on how someone's gender is determined and the guy said we can identify our own gender so if that's the case and a case Tucker was trying to make is what's to stop men from joining and competing in woman's sports?
We know biologically men in most cases are physically better athletes so what happens when we go down the rabbit hole of allowing men to compete in woman's sports? Is this something that feminist want? I get that currently we are just discussing who can piss and poop in which restroom but the ramifications of saying someone can identify as whatever they so desire rejecting biological science which we currently use to create divisions among men and woman for competitive balance.
What's everyone's stance on this? I keep hearing that it's a civil rights issue however what about the rights of the people who don't agree with being able to identify as whatever you want?
Tucker discussion

I think this transgender issue is one where liberals have lost their minds.

The least important question on gender dysphoria is sports.

No. This happened long before this issue. It's just making it all the more obvious

When your goal is breaking taboo, no taboo is safe. People don't just throw up their hands and say, "Well, that's all the taboo I'm comfortable with destroying." You just pick another target and move on. It's the Sexual Revolution morphing into the Reign of Terror (metaphorically).

The ramifications of gender confusion are wide ranging but sports/military roles/ dorms etc all could be challenged by changing the biological determination of ones gender.
Why would we reject science?
Why would we reject science?

When progressives sacrifice fact and reason for ideology they take a gigantic leap toward totalitarian thinking. If they are unwilling to accept fact because it violated their psyches, they are dabbling in delusion and abnormal psychology. All reinforced by group-think.

Science is only a tool to be used to gain more power. Where science impinges upon the quest for power, it is to be ignored.
Complete destruction of mores, tradition, religion and family is the goal. They've done far better than anyone would have predicted.

Its where they jumped the shark and showed normies that the culture war actually mattered, and that we had lost it.
Now at least we have a fight on our hands.

Indeed. I am very ignorant on transgenders. Never met one, never been around one, to my knowledge. I'm trying to reach a level of empathy for them and gain a better understanding of what they're about.
I liked it better when both sides were ignorant of transgenders and we both just went about our merry ways. Though I admit that ignores some struggles transgenders went through. It's just such a foreign concept to me.

We argue all the time about how Christians and right wingers reject science ......in regards to evolution, climate change etc and there is some merit to that however gender determination is one of the most concrete scientific conclusions and easiest conclusions one can make. It's even mapped in your DNA. So in order for us as a country to allow gender confusion to manifest we must soundly reject actual science which is something liberals are typically all about. It's the one issue that confuses me about liberals although it doesn't surprise me.

We don't need to develop empathy and understanding for every paraphilia and addiction. It's ok to say "that's nuts."

Biologically, yes. From what I understand of transgender is they psychologically feel a different sex than their body displays. It really boggles my mind, but I also find it a bit interesting. Is there a mutation in their DNA that causes it? Is there some trauma in their past that causes it? Are they just being contrarians? I don't know.

This from the same sorts of people who reject all "norms" (pink for girls, tough boys, etc).
So what could it possibly mean to them to "feel a different sex"?
What they are really doing is rejecting any and all standards, and ultimately it's a rejection of the very idea of any truth that exists outside themselves.

I totally get that some people for whatever reason feel different and sometimes feel tortured by that which is a mind frick in itself and you never want to outcast any human being because we all deserve to live our lives however we so desire and I think in this issue these people should be allowed to classify themselves as whatever they want and whatever makes them happy so long as they follow the biological determination as set by societal norms. It has nothing to do with hating trans people or anything like that. I have no issues with people doing whatever they want so long as we aren't hurting others in the process.

He kept conflating sex and gender but other than that he made some good points.

Isn't complicated at all.

I don't know any transgender people, but I do know what they call nowadays an intergender person, or a hermaphrodite, having both a penis and a vagina. I have sympathy for these people because they were born this way and their confusion as to their gender is understandable if you have both sex organs.
I don't know him/her well enough to ask biological questions like which hole does the pee come out of or stuff like that. I do know that he/she can't have kids. He looks like a man but he does have small female breasts. Ive never seen which bathroom he chooses, but I think he would be accepted in either one as he looks like a man but has the small breasts of a woman. No one would ask questions.
When I first met him he identified as a man and then a year after he switched to female with no discernible change in behavior, mannerisms, or demeanor. I have a hard time remembering which pronoun to use when speaking about him/her in his presence, but when I mess up she never gets offended or anything, just ignores it.
