I see lots of people talking about how Deichmanns homerun wasnt much different thank Ryan Schimpf and Blake Deans and some others but i think everybody has forgot about the fact that these guys are swinging BB Core bats now which is pretty much like swinging a wood bat. The older aluminum and composite bats had way more pop in them with a larger sweet spot.. All in all Deichmanns shot last night shows that he can swing with anybody plus the fact of having 3 bombs 5 games in. Im gonna go on a limb and say Deichmann hits over his 11 dingers last year maybe 15+ this year of course we wont know till we see some better pitchers but for now he is seeing the ball pretty well.

Except they didn't swing the hot bats.

BBCOR bats are not like swinging a wood bat. Swinging a wood bat is better than swinging a BBCOR bat

Modern form of lethal weapon while standing in a batter's box. This bat was incredible

If These were The Gorilla Ball Days, Romero, Coomes & Templet would be batting more.

Thanks for that insight genius
I'm pretty sure everyone here that is even slightly interested in LSU baseball is well aware of the difference in the bats

I've seen posters comparing Deichmann's HR to previous HRs, but I haven't seen anyone downplaying it. The whole point of the comparison is to show how impressive Deichmann's HR really was because of the bat he uses.

The true differences between 1998-1999 to 2008-2009 were the steroids not the bats.

2009 era bats were the best with the perfect mix not sure why NCAA ever went away from that.

Dean's team at UNO is definitely giving gorilla ball a good go.
