I'm not at all paranoid. I just want to make sure that my Dad is not tampering with this (though he shouldn't know but you know how that goes). I'm not going to some mental hospital. And, I'm clearly not a danger to anyone.

Everything was fine until I told the neuro that my headaches increase when I'm around cell phones, which is true. When I wouldn't answer some questions, he said that pappiladema has nothing to do with anything psychological. Basically, I think he might be sketchy.

And also, if you are over 18 they can't release the results to your dad unless you consent.

Oh trust me, I definitely know how that goes. Boy do I! Don't get me started on your dad, I could talk for hours about him and how that goes.

Yes you are. A doctor cannot have you committed because your dad said to.

That is ILLEGAL. I repeat, ILLEGAL.

No, you are being paranoid. He isn't being sketchy. Neurologists ask plenty of questions to determine if there is a psych element associated. There are many things that they see that are psych associated. They deal with the brain.

I will say this very seriously, if this isn't a troll, and they saw papilledema, shut the frick up, quit thinking you know everything (you don't), quit thinking that everyone is out to get you, and GO TO THE frickING DOCTOR.

I like being blunt in these threads to stress the importance of this.

You sound like you believe that medical professionals get bonuses for having people committed.

I'm guessing he meant that your headaches/increase in headaches around cell phones may be psychosomatic (notice I said "may"). I'm not going to get into an argument debating sensitivity regarding wifi or cell phone signals.

I think he was trying to make clear that there seems to be a medical issue(i.e. whatever is causing the increased cranial pressure) behind the headaches. And that it needs to be checked out quickly as it could be something serious and the sooner it is checked, the better for your health.

Go get the results. Discuss them calmly with the neurologist. I doubt they would go through all this trouble (including using an MRI) to help your father get you locked up.

I'm not crazy but I know that they can say they found some contrived mental illness on an MRI.
