Have an opportunity to buy one, but I'm a bit hesitant...I've never seen nor used a center console bass boat before. Anybody had one?

What makes you hesitant? I mean I like the layout out of a center console boat much better. I think it is a preference thing. I could be completely wrong, but I don't think there are any performance differences. If it is the right price go for it.

Not sure if this counts. But, I have a G3 CC aluminum boat, and I predominantly bass fish out of it and I love it. It's also great for river fishing. It's easy to move around and is quite aesthetically pleasing.

after owning a bass boat, my next boat will be a center console.........

I kind of like it but feel like I'm not supposed to.

Yeah I know... It just looks so odd on a bass boat. But then again it kind of looks badass.

I move quickly from front to back of boat when bass fishing(swapping rods, lures, drinks, etc etc). Well, with a center console bass boat there aint much room to the left or right of the steering column(look at the earlier picture posted). Well I tempted fate all day running back and forth, almost falling in, until I eventually went overboard with a nice 6 footer about 10 yard away

Soooo.... you almost fed yourself to a gator and you want to blame the boat?

My clumsy arse is the reason I fell
But look at this picture. For as much as I move from from to back of boat while bass fishing, the center console is a pain in the arse. At least in the boat I was in. You had to shimmy sideways

I personally wouldn't like it because I'm a tournament fishing and getting to livewells, rear storage, etc seems like it would be a hassle.... but it ain't my boat and if it suits your style go for it.

I get it. I typically stand on the very front of the bow--- one foot usually has toes sticking off the edge. Not sure why or how I got to where that is my preferred fishing spot, but it is. And yes, it has gotten me dunked in the water on more than one occasion.

I don't move very fast anymore and I keep all my stuff in the front. For old arse multiple surgery knees, my CC is perfect,, can sit or stand.. After all, I'm da Captn of my lil ship!

You need to go ahead and move to a stick steer.

Interesting, I had a stick steer in the 70's. Pretty comfy, but, hard to flip a bait while you're leaning back with your feet up on a cooler.. I guess that was before flipping was cool..
