I familiarized myself with this Milo guy last night

Though I had heard of him, I had never really paid attention to anything he had to say, nor the reactions to things he had to say.
I came away thinking both sides have completely lost their minds. One side for lauding him, the other for reacting as they have to what he has said.
So which came first? Did people start "melting" over what he said, or did he come popular before that started?

I think a lot of us like the idea of a Milo more than we actually like Milo. He's like a 6.5/10 for me - I think he could be a lot better. The only thing he's really good at is the reaction part. His content is lacking tho IMO.
I wish he were more like an agnostic Pat Buchanan on substance.

I find it difficult to believe how someone can spend most of their time on the Political Board and is just now familiarizing themselves with someone like Milo.

It's not so much that what he says is true or not, it's that the majority of it just lacks any intellectual depth.

yeah i've been posting about Milo for years, including threads wehre i purposefully listed people others may like
just so that everyone knows, if you want to listen to a gay anti-regressive media personality, Dave Rubin > Milo

i like him for what he is. a troll. his content is sometimes lacking, but what he lacks there he makes up for in counter punching with logic.
more than anything i appreciate a gay dude saying "wtf, are y'all embracing a culture coming into america that wants to kill people like me?"

The social justice warriors coupled with political correctness spawned Milo. The guy likes free speech. He's abrasive at times, but it's needed.

I believe he referenced people as "low info voters" somewhere along the campaign for not knowing the obvious. This is one of those times - for him.

Would be fun to have him attend a party, until it wasn't. I'm sure a little of that act goes a long way and too much would get abrasive.

For example?

I don't read every thread posted here, and have just always avoided threads about him. I knew he was gay and was a writer at Brietbart and whatever he wrote melted a lot of people. That's about all I knew, so I decided to research for myself to see what all the fuss was about. Came away unimpressed, both with him and the ones that react so vocally over him.

literally true
Milo became a name during Gamergate
it's the same conflict that created the "Alt-right"

He's a total fraud. But after UC Berkeley I understand he's a necessary one
