The obvious references to Trent Richardson, the other guy that won the Heisman Derek whatever...Mark Ingraham....and any other RB from Alabama that can't come close to the talent of Leonard Fournette...
And my point is....I think Leonard Fournette is at least an Adrian Peterson type talent, and I think many folks are underestimating him...

I don't know where you got those combine numbers from, but NO....Murray measure in at 6'0"; 10 lbs lighter (213), and ran a 4.41 and 4.43 officially.

Simulcast of Murray and Jeremy Langford running at the combine.

Langford ran a 4.42 just to reference. Even with Murray's injury history coming out of college, there is no way he last until the 3rd round with the measurables that you've stated.

Adrian Peterson is a top 10 all-time RB. Fournette is very gifted, but him being as successful as AP is pretty slim.

Demarco isn't the only Murray in the league ;)

for someone saying this, you sure are making it hard to believe. and why are you so mad?

the fact is you just don't know how someone is going to adjust to the NFL from College, and to act like it is a certainty that Fournette is the next coming of Dickerson is laughable and terribly naive

I promise I'm not mad :)
All I'm saying is that I don't understand how his obvious talent is so underestimated.
He may not turn out to be a great back in the NFL....
SPayton and the Saints produce a top 3 offense every year...
Clearly we are in desperate need of defensive talent.
I like DE then LB our first two pics.
We should have enough cap space to pick up at least two free agents that could start on defense also.
This is as obvious as Leonard Fournette's talent! :)

Seeing as though many NFL "draft experts" have Dalvin Cook as the better prospect, I'd say there are at least 10 backs in the NFL that are better. Look, LF7's athleticism and power is unquestioned. His biggest question mark will be can he catch out of the backfield. The elite backs in the league right now can. Bell, Zeke, DJ, Freeman, etc. all excel at catching the ball out of the backfield. It's just the way the game is played nowadays. I think LF7 will be a pretty good-great NFL talent, but he isn't just going to steam roll LB's and DB's like he did in college for the next 10 years. If he proves he can be an every down back and play in 3rd down situations, the sky's the limit.

Also in regards to the Saints, LF7 would just be a waste for us. We wouldn't use him right at all, much like we haven't with Ingram. We don't use the every-down-back effectively enough to warrant using a 1st round pick on a RB ever again while SP is still here.

You LSU/Saintards are the most delusional fans in sports.

Let the guy touch the ball in the NFL a few times before you start making asinine claims like this. He averaged around 2 yards a carry in his college career against the closest thing he's seen to an NFL defense, so I'd pump the brakes just a bit.
