Beautiful campus, new state of the art facilities...

Horrible record - feed into the mentality of some kids: "Come play here, be the reason this program succeeds - play and make your mark here, you'll be a legend"

some of these kids - at least some of the ones I work with here (not there in Louisiana) have the mentality where they pull for underdogs, they live as underdogs and fight to surpass being an underdog. Many of these kids have done just that - they've made their mark (otherwise they wouldn't be recruited by the schools they're being recruited by). A good salesman has likely convinced them that they'll be legends at KU turning the program around, turning it into a championship program (not quite likely, but never know), and that they'll be revered for all time as Kansas royalty.

A lot of KU's recruits from here are sort of tweeners anyway who might only have gotten offers from mid majors.

Back about 5-7 years ago when Mangino was he coach there, they did pretty well. But they got upset when Mangino apparently was beating(tenderizing) a player before trying to eat him.

He used to get some talent there.

You'd have to be the greatest salesman of all time to make me believe that crock of shite.

It doesn't happen with that many players though. If it were to happen, maybe 1 or 2. Not 6 or 7 or however many committed within hours of each other.

Also, I know LSU is light years ahead of Kansas, but in a way, we've been the underdog too, and if they can play that card there, surely O and Co. could do it for the home team. "Come here guys, I want y'all to be the one's who get us back to beating Bama and in to the championship picture again. You're from NO and will forever be a Louisiana legend."

So, LSU loses kids to Bama because they want to play for a winner even if means sitting on the bench for several years, and LSU loses kids to Kansas because they want to play for a loser where they will get early playing time. Go figure!
