Foreigner >>>> Journey.

Kiss is at least fun. They don't take themselves seriously and know it's all about the spectacle. Foreigner is just lame.

I liked "Hot Blooded"
Might have more to do with a girl I met one summer named Lana than the actual song though. She looked good shimmying to It in her two piece.

I love 79s music and my favorite rock bands had their peak in the 70s, but it also had a lot of pop bands like Foreigner:
Kansas
Styx
Boston
Steve Miller
And then they had the easy listening pop bands:
Orleans
Air Supply
Little River

Most untalented
David Bryan has written broadway musicals & went to school at Julliard.
Sambora is a very good guitarist & vocalist. His solo material is great.
Jon had a good voice early on. Heavy touring & smoking eventually took it's toll.

Hysteria is horrible and Pour Some Sugar On Me is one of the worst rock songs ever.
There might have been some cheesy lyrics (like Pour Some Sugar On Me), but that album was full of catchy/melodic songs. Definitely not horrible. Horrible is shitty or no melodies and terrible lyrics. That album didn't get to that rare diamond status in sales for having nothing good about it. It was just more pop-oriented than the previous albums.

When in high school in the late '80's, I liked the early stuff from the '70's, but hated "4".
As an adult, I really don't care for their early stuff anymore, BUT, the adult in me really has grown to like "Foreigner 4".
Waiting For a Girl Like You & Urgent are good tunes, IMO.

I think by the 1980s Chicago locked up the "worst band" category. That group started out good but devolved into rottenness after about 1976.
