$2500 is a better estimate for cost last time I researched.

Way over your head. You're acting exactly like the kind of guy I'm talking about.

Consider three populations:

1. Men who oppose same-sex marriage and say that abortion is murder committed mostly by the promiscuous.
2. Women who have abortions.
3. Gay men.

It is obvious, as I've observed, that #1 is jealous of #2 and #3 because #1 perceives #2 and #3 as more sexually active (just as we've all envied that friend who can't stop getting laid for the life of him). That's why so many of these petulant men have campaigned for so long, in the name of God, conveniently, for bans on same sex marriage and restrictions on abortion. I'm a man, and I'm wired the same way as you, and I'm just not buying the bullshite. Joe Blow doesn't like that Jane Blow and Bruce Blow get to have more sex than him. Men have been like that since there have been men.

Women and their roles in society have changed immensely since WWII. Obviously these changes will be accompanied by growing pains. You don't think there's a shite ton of men with traditional sexual habits who are uncomfortable living in a world where women everywhere frick everyone except and make more money than their fat bald no-game-for-miles asses?
I'm sure tons of men experience those feelings.

I think there are enough people who abhor abortions due to religious belief/upbringing, or what they perceive as strong morals, or the idea of their taxes funding part of PP and wanting them to go to what they think are better causes, the thought that immature(mentally and physically) girls can get the just as easily as they can go to Disney World, etc...that thinking men hate abortion because they can't get sex is ridiculous.

Sorry for that abortion of a sentence.

You have a massive error in your premise. Planned Parenthood claims that abortions account for only 3% of the services they provide yearly.

Don't act like they don't count every time they hand out a jolly rancher as a "service."

Nah, I got what you said.

Obviously there are millions of us who are morally opposed to abortion--I'm one--and maybe I could have explained this more clearly, but I do mean specifically the manner in which most men seem to conduct themselves in the general abortion dialogue.

If you say that abortion is murder, you're saying that abortion is the worst thing possible. The man who says that abortion is murder and then cites "sexual irresponsibility" or something to that effect in his contribution to the dialogue is reducing his argument to something petty and exposing himself as a fraud. It's akin to going to a woman's funeral and asking her family how many people she'd slept with in her life. If that's where your mind is, you aren't really concerned for someone's life.

The issue with the 3% figure is that they count an abortion as equal to handing out a condom. If a woman comes in for an abortion, she may have 3 or more "services" performed, such as getting a pre-abortion exam, and the abortion is lumped in with everything else that she receives that day. It's completely misleading since all the other services received are the direct result of the abortion that the woman came in for that day.

With that said, what percentage of their revenue comes from abortions?

You never have to have an abortion, so you don't have an issue.

I don't believe even Cecile Richards would lie that brazenly.

I think their claim is abortions only comprise 3% of their "medical services".

Abortions are obviously the most profitable "medical service" they provide.
Aside from government grants and funding, I believe abortions are their single most significant revenue source.

Great argument. I'll let my moral compass slide and not be concerned about other humans being killed for the sake of convenience because I won't have to do it myself.

Not buying it. You're faking this.

my moral compass
When a woman has an abortion, it has nothing to do with your moral compass. Don't make it about you.

By that logic, the women concerned were never aborted so they have no issue either.

With that said, what percentage of their revenue comes from abortions?

PP has a revenue of 1.15 billion in 2015 (WAY below OP's assertion of 5 billion). Of that, the sum of all non-government health services revenue was 305.3 million

Less than 30% of their overall revenue comes from the line item that would include abortion. Even a high water mark given of 260 million places it at approximately 20% of their entire revenue.

Politicians have tried to claim things like "87%" was from abortion.

Government revenue was around 528 million. This incorporates things like Medicare reimbursement. By law, these funds cannot be used for abortions.

Private contributions were around 390 million. You have the option of earmarking your contributions to NOT pay for abortions (like the Bill and Melinda Gates' Foundation does)

78 million came from operating revenue

It is impossible to know the exact amount of revenue that comes from abortion because the cost varies from state to state.
