Saban is cherry-picking players he does not need out of Louisiana simply because he can. Mathis will likely be a career back-up at Bama based on their recruiting year in and out at that position.

Buggs will be a back-up for two years.

Allen and Moses will not start until they are seniors...and likely not even for Saban, who will retire inside of three years.

I get it. They beat LSU yearly and have for five years. Doesn't make it easier to accept though.

LSU has to beat Bama and it has to start this year to get a reprieve and stop this momentum.

It's the kids fault for not seeing it.

Saban knows that LSU is his main competition in the West. If they are able to recruit with Alabama by landing all Louisiana kids, they'll be tougher to beat.

Recruit Louisiana. Take players from LSU and put them on the bench where they're not the competition

This. If these kids are making a "business decision" they need to go back and take a business class first because they are being played by this evil midget and their heads are swelled up too big to even figure it out. Good luck to all of them and enjoy the "process".

Who cares what Saban does? He is a good coach and does what he has to do to win. Isn't that the name of the game? He has that whole "hey you want to go to the NFL AND win a national championship? Well then why would you not come to Alabama?"

Its not going to last forever and we will be fine...

Bruh, Mathis is the only 5 tech that Bama has landed in 3 years. That's the whole reason he's going there.

These kids don't remember us being better than Bama. Miles took a superior program and let someone else turn the tables. It will be hard to change it anytime soon.

Bear Bryant was famous for the very same strategy and tactics vs Tenn, Ole Miss, and LSU.

Any kid in LA good enough to play at this level I want in P&G. Period. And every 'loss' to Bama disappoints.

It's premature to say how any of them will turn out there. Some mostly fill a spot on the roster (DL from N. La, Sentimore, Sylve) but others do well (Lacy, Collins, Williams, Cam). Our supply chain going forward is going to be LA. So we've got work to do.

Where I think we've lost the most ground is we stopped competing with Bama on a level playing field, i.e., Les's philosophy on O. Players see that. They see that they won't be a 'difference-maker' even if they come here and they won't compete for championships.

That's the culture change that O has to overcome.

If LSU wasn't about to pull in a top ten arse with a possibility of a top five class during a coaching change I would be more worried. As long as you replace every in state player with a talented out of state player why does it matter?
