Very good movie and one of the best of 2015. However, it's nowhere near my personal top 5.

Obviously you didn't read the book. It was based upon a bear attack and how Hugh glass survived the attack.

It was ok. There was some bullshite. The narration, the Indian visions. Felt completely out of place. I'd rather the movie focus more on Hardy

The book was actually about Hugh Glass

An okay movie but disappointing

I liked the movie
Hardy outshines Leo as well IMHO
And even though I liked the movie, I have zero desire to ever watch it again

Will be glad when it finishes downloading so I can watch it again in glorious 4K.

Best movie of 2015. I might be biased though as I am a cinematography junky and that friends was some of the best I've ever seen. I also saw it on the big screen which goes a long way in my decision too. The movie simply didnt have the same impact on me when I watched it on a TV.

It was beautiful, but it was average.

Loved the movie but got rather tired of the gratuitous nature shots, with that said though I'll always remember it for making an older guy in my theater throw up during the bear attack scene.

The cinematography was gorgeous, but I just couldn't get into the characters at all. After watching the trailer several times the movie was a definite letdown.

The real story between Glass and Fitzgerald would have been more interesting than the stupid, shoehorned revenge story in the movie.
This. The 3rd act was abominable

Agreed.

I enjoyed it. It was gorgeous to look at. I wonder how the hell they shot that movie. And it must have been torture to film it. You know Leo and Tom Hardy weren't going out and singing Rolling Stones songs at a downtown karaoke bar after each day's shooting. They were stuck in a trailer in the middle of frozen-arse nowhere.

ruined by the idiotic choice to change it to winter...when every school child knows bears hibernate....
done for cheap hollywood fake drama bs reasons
so stupid and makes this movie irredeemable

Dumbass..the bear attacked him before winter....hence the massive, lush green forest where he was attacked.
