no surprise he died doing this, but check out the 2:35 mark for a real adrenaline rush

Am I going to see someone die in this particular video?

Takes big balls going through that vagina rock.

Lots of people die trying this sort of thing. Easy to see how that could happen.

just once I would like to see the video where they are bouncing dead off the side of a cliff or mountain. Or getting cut in half from a bridge cable. Something fun like that.

surprised it doesn't happen more often

I heard he hit the ground too hard.

Those videos exist. The fatality rate in these activities is ridiculously high.

Oh, there's one out there of someone splattering into a bridge at more than 100 miles an hour

Saw this one hungover morning before college on ESPN. They were showing the video and the other 4 guys with me all assumed they would stop way before he hit. They showed it literally up until he had to be less than 5 feet away before they blacked it out but kept the sound on. They then showed what was his parachute just flouting away with part of him still attached.
The room was silent for a few minute or so before we all realized what we just saw.
And I think it was more like 170mph right into a guard rail on the bridge

Couldn't be content with just learning to fly, I guess. Had to do it close to rocks as well.

Not that fast. They're not head down free falling. With those wing suits they're belly down and have a lot more drag due to the wings.
quote:
In stable, belly-to-earth position, terminal velocity is about 200 km/h (120 mph). Stable freefall head down position has a terminal speed of 240–290 km/h (around 150–180 mph). Further minimization of drag by streamlining the body allows for speeds in the vicinity of 480 km/h (300 mph).

Problem with this type of thing, it only takes one mistake to get a tribute video made about you

everyone's gotta die sometime, might as well do it while getting an adrenaline rush with a good chance of surviving

I wonder how many jumps the average wingsuit jumper performs before dying.
