I got this band at the pharmacy that helped a great deal. It puts pressure on the group of tendons that is the source of the pain. Ice it down regularly, take ibuprofen and avoid the activity that caused it and it should heal up in a few months.
This is exactly what helped me get over mine. Once it healed, I continued to wear the band at the gym.

Thanks, had the surgery a couple of months ago and was getting a little concerned about lingering pain. I feel better now

Compression wrap usually helps.

Where do you place the dial on the band? My pain jumps around from forearm to wrist to above elbow.

If not said use other hand.

hold a tennis ball in your hand with palm down. drop the ball and catch it quickly raising your arm back up.
Do that to strenthen the muscles in the area.
Worked for me. Saw it in a youtube tennis video and I now do this exercise a lot to keep tennis elbow away.

If you have tried the conservative stuff without success, there is a new mini-surgical procedure called Tenex that leads to a quicker recovery compared to the traditional surgery (google Tenex Health). You could also look into platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, which may give you a better chance to heal compared to a steroid shot.

Another cause could be the weight of your racquet.
Light racquets absorb a lot, which goes right to your elbow and shoulder. Ever swing a small hammer on a big nail ?? Same physics
I'd add an ounce or two of lead tape Or get a heavier racquet

Flex bar work with golfers elbow? I have had it bad for 2oaths to.the point I can't do shite with that arm
Posted on 1/27/17 at 3:41 pm to tigercraig
Google Armaid, the problem probably starts in your forearm

I tried everything. Cortisone, acupuncture, everything. Then I bought a flex bar and pain was gone within a week. I suffered with pain for 8 months unable to golf at all. I can't recommend the flex bar enough.

Just ordered! Gonna give it a shot! Seems like it would aggravate it and make it more infamed

Work great for golfers elbow. You just do the opposite exercise. The instructions will be included. Do the exercise daily and you will be golfing within two weeks I bet.

I've had it in both elbows. I tried cortizone shots and PT for the first one. Nothing helped. Had surgery and have had no problems since. The second one I bypassed all of the other crap and went straight for the surgery. Not a problem since in either one. The arm band helps but I feel it masks the injury. Cortizone feels great but I damaged my arm further because it felt great and I did the things that were causing me problems.
