What I'm trying to say is this is part of the mentality that people are growing tired of. It's much easier for a "have" to get more than it is for a "have not" to catch up

What's a have and have not along gender lines?

To say that they are manipulated into their life choices by forces beyond their control is divorced from reality and demeaning, to boot.

i will never understand why they freely defend this sort of behavior

I'll answer that after you provide some evidence that "many if not most" of these people (there were plenty men, who think like hammondtiger, present) were not, in fact, protesting the American patriarchy and Donald Trump, but were marching for the truly oppressed who can't march for themselves.
What do you want me to do, take a poll?

Besides, I already said that Trump sparked all of this, probably because he seems to marginalize women.

Or you can admit you're speculating without any evidence and we'll move on.
Me? This is your thread, buddy, where in the OP you speculate that oppressed women are rolling their eyes.

This game will never end well for you.

It never does here.

Ever.

You progs will NEVER learn and it is awesome.

Many of us here have done more in the areas you claim to have a monopoly on than you will ever dream. Many of us have both served AND pay taxes. Both of those items I RARELY see from today's proggies. But you sure know how to preach and throw a good tantrum.

You should probably stick to those things.

The data doesn't exist because most of it happens behind closed doors, and most of us turn a blind eye to it.

think about that comment and that data that has been presented to support how "obvious" it is
What data are you talking about? The degree data?

also, be careful not to tread into territory of racism and classism

So, my last job was sales_marketing. Three months in the ops guy quits and I'm handed ops duties and sales/marketing at xx,000.00 per year not including bonuses.

After a year I leave (too much work, better job) and they hire a ops guy at xx,000.00 a year AND a marketing lady at x8,000.00 a year. 8k more than I, plus bonuses. Why did she get it more with fewer duties?

Has she been there as long as the other guy? Why should that even matter?

It's called "experience."

And if the company gives annual increases in salary, it'll affect how much he made abs how much she makes.

So if he was there for 15 years and she's been there for 3, she in all likelihood isn't going to get paid as much.

Those who are afforded respect and opportunity, and those who are not.

I'm not saying that you or anyone here personally is guilty of anything, I'm just saying that society at large still underappreciates women.

You are of course free to disagree, and I'm sure you do, but at least a few million women feel they deserve more respect.

I love that so much. I really do.

Where did this person reside? Do you know?

Maybe she was better than you (good reason)

Maybe she had more time in than you (bad reason)

Maybe she was fricking the boss

Maybe, as your compadres here say, you are just a bad negotiator

Maybe we are still so sexist as a whole that female salespeople are more valuable than males

Why do you think she got paid more?

And a few million women will always feel that way no matter what.

So the best way to go about it is putting a pu$$y hat on your head, while chanting cute slogans about being a "nasty girl" and not wanting to be defined by your body parts.......while wearing a pu$$y hat....

My wife (who makes more than me, BTW, and I do very well with a HIGHER DEGREE than she has) made sure to let our young daughter know that she will never end up like one of those "stupid women on TV."

It was a proud moment in our household.

PS - Neither she nor I voted for Trump.

also, like you, i've had to say " i used to be a hardcore liberal" about 100 times, too

How many wives of men on this message board do you think would never be allowed to march for women's rights?

I would be willing to bet that very few would have actually prevented their wives from participating.

My husband would have said "if that's what you want to do then go ahead, but what are you so scared of?"

She came in with a degree in marketing and had numerous years of experience in the industry. She was a home run hire.

Looking at superficial crap like, race and sex is generally low handing fruit for bottom feeders, because there is usually a lot more that goes into decision making, and those two are generally irrelevant. Education and experience are usually more important.
