What's the deal with Schlotzky's and the Baton Rouge market?

The new one on Essen has closed and barely made it two years. There was one off Jefferson and one off Sherwood back in the day that also didn't pan out.

I really like them, but apparently I'm in the minority. Was so impressed after a few visits that I looked at the stock. BUNZ is their listing. It was horrible. They were bordering on bankruptcy and may have filed at some point.
Had 2 in Shreveport but both died years ago. I still hit it in DFW sometimes. I hear there is one in Alexandria.

Their sandwiches are good but the best food in there is the turkey jalapeno pizza. It is really really good. The alexandria location stays steady, sometimes busy.
It is kinda like arbys. I love arbys but that place is never busy. I hear it all the time "what is arbys"? IMO the classic roast beef dripping with arby sauce and curley fries dipped in arby/horsey sauce is the best fast food that can be had.

Schlotsky's isn't bad when I'm in Birmingham, but c'mon, we have some real poboys in BR, and a lot of local places who serve something BR people think is a poboy, Schlotsky's is toast.

It had horrible service. I tried for lunch one day, waited in line for 5 minutes and no one even came to the counter to take orders. Left and went to Subway

Service was horrible. I love Schlotzky's. I hit the ones in Alexandria and Laffy whenever I can.

Schlotzky's in my neck of the woods are pretty good for what they are. Great lunch spot, but I wouldn't pass out any sandwich of the [fill in the blank] awards.

They closed up shop in Gonzales too. Had replaced a former KFC.
