I got pulled over this morning (OT Lawyers mount up)

I was running a bit late going in to work so I decided to run a red light so that I didn't have to sit through another cycle. (I live in Atlanta so those can take +3 minutes). Officer was on the other side of the turn and got me.
He also said I was using my cell phone. While, technically, he was right, I wasn't texting or browsing. I was listening to music on youtube and was picking the next one. He said to me that I ran the red light because of use of cell phone. That was not true. I ran the red light because I was late. When I told him this, he began to raise his voice to me. Eventually I just quit talking and started nodding.
He gave me two tickets. One for failure to obide to traffic control devices and one for failure to use due care. My question is, can I get out of the failure to use due care one? I never admitted to using my cell phone. I don't think there's any way he can prove it either. Also I hadn't texted anyone at all this morning.
Do I have a chance?

I think you stand a fair chance of winning this case if you defend yourself in court.

What do you think your defense is?

by run a red light do you mean you barely missed it being yellow, or it was obviously red the whole way through and you just went.

There's your answer.

Not sure how things work in JawJah, but 1. Cop saw you run red light while holding up,your phone. 2. You admitted running the red light. Then you argued with him while he was writing the ticket. You're screwed. He probably wrote stuff on the back telling the DA not to fix it.

"You are incorrect sir! I ran the red light intentionally because I was late for work, thereby purposefully placing my commute above the safety of all the people around me. To allege I was simply negligent and made a mistake, Officer, that is untrue!"

Late or not, you ran a red light.
