So pelican seafood was somewhere else, and the restuarant in question was Delley's corner.
If I'm not mistaken, Pelican Seafood was there at Sharp and Old Hammond and moved, then it became Delley's.
We used to get seafood there and I remember them moving. But I was also <10 so I could be wrong.

Illusions. I went once. I was maybe 3 weeks over 18 and went to see some HS sluts we were chasing. I was done with that shite and went to Tigerland within an hour there.

Tullier's was at Old Hammond and Airline. and I think there was an IH Rubenstien's in Boradmoor shopping center. Wasn't Clegg's nursery near there on Florida?

Common Point...Next door was a soak & poke place where you could rent hot tubs by the hour. STD's & hot tub folliculitis were rampant.

That came years later but it was called The Zone I believe. Then later became Effects after hours club.

anyone remember the bike bridge that ran from the back sherwood middle's football fields down to major oak dr? we used to go jump bikes off that thing. you had to have a buddy waiting at the sidewalk on major oak looking out for cars because we couldn't always stop in time and would skid out into the street

Winn Dixie near Old Hammond Road
Mary Lee's Donuts (I remember this was the only place that had power after Andrew in 92)
K&B Drugs near Florida
Sporting goods store in the Sherwood South Shopping Center (what was the name?)
I also remember some very dark years of LSU Football (when I was a kid, my daily hat had Mike Archer's signature under the bill..)
I remember several of the old Mid South wrestlers lived in that area. Buz Sawyer, JYD and Hacksaw Jim Duggan lived near me for a while. Grizzly Smith also lived there for a time before settling in NOLA.

Can't believe no one mentioned Shakys Pizza @ Goodwood/Airline...spent many a high school lunch hour there downing pitchers of beer with all you could eat pizza/fried chicken...good times
Also Pasquales Pizza a little further down Fla. Blvd....as a high schooler, I worked there P/T, mainly for the beer after closing...lol Owned/run by the outlaw Burkett clan !

Loved Shakey's pizza. First place I bought a beer legally when I turned 18.
Also, Mr Ghatti's pizza on Florida by the Broadmoor shopping center.
