Yea it has been an interesting ride for the GT. In the beginning, I thought with the way the price was plummeting, you could pick one up for the price of a new Vette without any problem.
Its almost like the GT owners colluded and made the price outrageous and everyone was just cool with it

but a ford gt without a v8 is criminal
They did it to conform to current racing standards as well as to showcase their new ecoboost technology.

Speaking of price plummeting, I guess pratte got out a little early?

How do you feel about the new Raptor? Guy in my neighborhood just got his delivered a couple weeks ago. Not too sure I care for how they sound, but that's a badass truck.

I'm know someone who ordered one. Mine was really heavy (2010 with the 6.2) so the fact that it's lighter will only make it better off road.
I am happy I had mine before they were all overthe road. Was a really fun truck. I abused that thing a few times offroad

I was at a biker bar in Cave Creek, AZ a few weeks back and this 70' Chevelle (and a 70 Camaro next to it) were in the parking lot with the owners. The guy is selling the Chevelle and we briefly discussed price and he was asking way too much. One of my all-time favorite cars.

Can't believe I missed out on this 84 Lebaron. What a beauty.

Nah I think he made the right choice. He had so much shite to get rid of that I think going a little early was the financially wise decision. I also dont think he was as worried about making money as people think. He is a businessman and knows to get out when its hot, but I dont think he is regretting his decision right now.
He is worth north of 300 million so his collection selling for 50 million instead of 60 to 70 this year probably isnt much of a deal to him.

Is that Jon Voight's LeBaron?

I want to say it was around 08-09ish that my dad was in the market for a Corvette and I remember thinking a used GT wasn't that far off, and if they weren't that far off then surely they must've been a shite car and would just fade away as a fad car, I was just a hair off. I want to say I remember seeing used GTs in the mid 80's, low 90's range around that time.

We'll have to check out the bite marks to be sure.

what was he asking?
$55K with no matching #'s, date codes or build sheets. We exchanged #'s so I may hear from him down the road. You can find better deals after Barrett-Jackson from owners whose cars don't meet the reserve yet they don't want to ship it back to where they brought it from and even better if you have cash.
