Is there a place in Lafayette/BR that sells big thick beef ribs, not the trimmed ribs, or little short ribs.

Whole Foods. Ask at the counter and they will cut them for you.

Same at Sams.

I have had good luck with whole short ribs at Winn DIxie but sure will try WHole Foods/Sams and maybe Fresh Market here as well. There is one butcher, a black man not the old grey haired white man that has helped me before. I'll ask him for sure.
Thanks for the info.

Yep. Go to sams and tell them you want the beef ribs before they cut them. They'll come out with a cryo pack of them. 5 something a pound.

Whole Foods in BR? That's unusual.

And to the above I asked Rouses to remove the beef ribs from a standing rib and truss it back and they had no clue what I wanted. I did this while looking at the "ask our butcher for any special cut" sign.

And that Texas Star beef is like a Tony Lama.

Those ribs look good. One of the best things about living in Texas is that the people know how to properly cook beef ribs.

Don't buy them cut. They have whole racks in the back for $3.99/lb. Cook them whole or cut them yourself. Save $3.50/lb.

We hit up a Mexican market here in GA to get them. Can also find them at some of the larger Asian stores.
