Just got Skyrim for PS4, anything I should know?

Always wanted to give it a try, heard some good things.
Any suggestions on what I should do first or where I should go after the initial dragon escape?

Don't get too emotionally attached to your first toon. Once you play through a little bit and realize you've been doing it all wrong, you'll be creating that Dark Elf sneak assassin just like the rest of us unimaginative losers.

I actually just recently started this too.. I started it once or twice before but never really made it much past Helgen. I don't know, this time something just clicked and I've been pretty immersed in it. I see many more hours to come. For what it's worth I had vaguely remembered getting sneak and archery up so that's part of what I did with my character.
I think before I got bogged down with there being so much to do, this time around I chose the quests I wanted to do, kept following those lines and just left the others for other times.

Alchemy and Enchanting are super OP when you invest in it and get some speech skills. Look up the list of useful/expensive potions and hoard those ingredients.
Do the Thieve's Guild quest line before any other IMO, even though Riften is a pain in the dick to get to. I wrapped up the main quests at whiterun and before heading to Hrothgar I went to Riften.
EDIT: I mistakenly said Dark Brotherhood previously, but I meant the Thieve's Guild in Riften.
He an idea of what way to go with your character and specialize. Being half arse in we every weapon skill doesn't help you.
Read books, several provide skill ups.
Visit skill trainers once per level, this is an easy way to get halfway to your next level.
There's no penalty to change game difficulty if you're beating your head against the wall.
Early on quicksave often. Nothing sucks more than losing 15 minutes of your life for being stubborn.
Vendors are open 8am-8pm, you can "fast forward" time up to 24 hours. Vendors restock every 48 hours of game time. You can fast travel from major city to major city and they'll resupply. (Markarth to Riften is best because it's almost exactly a 48 hour round trip)
I've probably spent 200+ hours on it and have bought it on 3 different platforms. My favorite game.

It's super easy to get to level 100 sneak. It's make the game more fun when you're basically invisible even in heavy armor. I just kept knifing the Greybeards in the back while crouching.

I cant get passed the combat. any tips? I always give up after 10 minutes...the first person sword fighting is just weird

So i have Skyrim on PS3 and never got really far in it. Should i just restart with my PS3 version or is the PS4 version different enough to justify buying it again?

Go sneak and archery
Investing in sneak, bows do 3x damage when sneaking, later on daggers do 15x damage while sneaking. Skyrim has a pretty basic/boring combat system IMO. I know later on in the skills you can get some stuff for more decapitations and lunge attacks, but I never have the patience for it. One thing I cant comment on is the magic system; it seemed pretty underwhelming when I first played at release that I never bothered to go deep into it. I know there is a mod you can get that overhauls it, so I was thinking of doing that on my next play through.
Some more things:
You can buy a horse, but I never really end up riding one. If you invest in stamina (for combat and carrying) then after a while you can run for a long time and its more fun to explore. Fast traveling pretty much negates the need for a horse after you get established in the game so its a waste 10,000 gold. Also a reward in the Dark Brotherhood questline is a horse.
You can level up sneak in all situations, not just around angry mobs. Its the easiest skill to level and "prestige" or whatever they call it.
You can "pickpocket" somebody and just see their inventory. The skill doesnt actually get you in trouble unless you take something.
Carry a pickaxe. Its 10 weight which sucks, but even if you dont do armorsmithing you can get gems and later on soul gems out of veins. Something fun to break up the monotony of gameplay at least.
When you get housecarls you can load them with crap (like dragon bones and dragon scales). I usually dont take them out adventuring with me and go solo but early on they're a secure storage option.

Stop listening to the Stealth Assassin crowd. Ninja's who loose the element of surprise might as well be using Nerf foam weapons. One shotting a dragon with a super-poisoned arrow is fun, but so is cutting a dragon's head off with a giant axe!
If you wish to enjoy your combat experience, create a melee character using the Orc master race. Do not hide from enemies, call them out and engage them! Let them know the identity of the arbieter of their demise! There's a ton of ways to pump up your combat survival rate:
Blocking with your shield begets more effective blocking with your shield.
Soaking up damage with heavy armor begets soaking up even more damage with heavy armor.
Blacksmithing your gear (arms and armor) increases their effectiveness (AKA your survival)
Enchanting your gear (arms and armor) increases their effectiveness (AKA your survival)
If you actively trade blows with monsters, your defensive stats will climb quickly. If you constantly reinvest enchantment magic and smithery to your equipment your overall combat power will rapidly overtake the threats posed by monsters you'll face. If you fail to raise your fighting power as you level-up**, you'll face an ever mounting power gap between you and the AI enemies.
** If you constantly put skill points into areas that do not boost your fighting prowess.
