Locations of Redlight/Traffic Cameras in New Orleans & Baton Rouge

Great resources.
I've received 2 traffic camera tickets over the years, one in NOLA, one in Baton Rouge. Ignored both, since I wasn't running anything. One I was turning right, one I was slightly over the line and just backed up. Ridiculous how much money is balked out of people through these.

Took one up the arse recently (BR camera). I paid it. There were pics and an actual video on the payment site. Watched my daughter roll thru the red light...

For future reference--they cannot force you to pay these. No bench warrant, no increased fees, no nothing. It's more like a suggested fine.

The thing that pisses me off is that most of the money collected goes to the company that makes the cameras, not the municipality that they are installed in.
Also right turn on red cameras can eat a bowl of dick soup.

The few I know in BR are:
Nicholson by LSU Baseball stadium
College Drive by interstate
Coursey at Sherwood - still don't know how I've survived this one

Go to an auto notary and get a new license plate. I refuse to pay these fricking extortion tickets. It would be one thing if the fine was like $25. But $175? Aint gonna happen.

I don't know about NOLA, but I know in BR, they don't boot non-payment of these tickets or have any consequences whatsoever. There is literally no consequence. See this link: LINK

There is no punishment for vehicle owners who ignore the notice. The city-parish doesn’t sue violators or boot their cars. The information doesn’t get reported to insurance companies or filed in police databases. It isn’t a hindrance to renewing a license, nor is it filed in driving records.

I don't remember off hand. It was a hell of a lot less than the ticket though. Even if it wasn't, I would still refuse to pay Orleans Parish that extortion money. frick 'em.

I'll never pay another one I guess. Live and learn.

They definitely boot you in New Orleans. There is evidently a vehicle that drives around and can scan license plates and they will stop and boot your car very quickly and be on their way.

This. And they are getting really aggressive in booting enforcement. Even places you would not expect, like side streets uptown and in Lakeview.

I'm not down in nola often, but last time i was we went uptown to brunch at atchafalaya and walked over to Nola brewery. On the way we noticed this car driving real slowly down some of the side streets scanning all the license plates. Those bitches got out, got a boot on the car in a few min and then passed on by with no fricks given
