We want to go somewhere where we can do something outdoors. It will probably be in the October-November time of year. I wasn't thinking something like a cabin in the smokeys or a ranch in texas. I would like a place we could hike, shoot some guns, fish, raft, hunt, just outdoors activities. We would like to keep the cost below $700 a person for a long weekend.

We constantly get asked “Do you provide woman” and the answer is no. Ox Ranch does, however, have a strict, “What happens on Ox Ranch stays on Ox Ranch” policy!

Place checks out.

Hand down easy answer, Devil's River in South Texas. 4 days of kayak fishing for largemouth/smallies, tenting/roughing on one of the most remote areas in North America. Myself and four of my groomsmen did it for my bachelor party right before football season kicked off. Swear to God, we're still recapping the stories/adventure while planning our next trip

Are you an experienced outdoorsman? Did you use a guide service? I have a group looking for a similar trip but some of the group are city boys.

Yea man 4 of the 5 guys that made a trip are serious outdoorsmen. No guide service, just transporter/pickup guy was needed. We researched the trip 8 months out, and did countless dry runs. Just warning, you'll hit some class 2's and small 3's on the rapid shoots...nothing around here will prepare you for that, especially in a kayak. The fishing was unreal but scenery and exclusive feeling of being off the grid for 4 days made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. I would tell you check out the YouTube videos, if you get a chance.

You may have inadvertently just planned the location of the next OB get together lol...place looks awesome. And I'm only judging it by the pic of the tank and the adult entertainment disclosure

Y Bar Ranch in Texas has some cost effective hunts/combo hunts with other activities as well. Check it out.

Thanks for some of the options. The group will be 50/50 on experienced outdoors men and city boys. I figured a cabin/ranch in Texas would be the best. Just a place we could cut up and do some outdoor activities. Even better if we could hunt as well.

Place looks awesome, just a tad bit steep in price.

Would be nice to find a place where those who wanted to hunt could pay the price to hunt and let the others pay just the lodging fee to spend the weekend there.

Give them a call, a lot of times these guys will cut a deal with you and work with you on price.
