Screw that. A 22 year old does not need to max a 401k. Enjoy life and keep some disposable income for yourself.

Anyone have any good recommendations of where to open a Roth IRA? Have a traditional IRA through work but would like to open a Roth on my own.

If not too late, do not marry someone who does not share your philosophy/approach to finances and savings.

If you get with one who has to have the big house, latest fashions, toys, etc. and will put it on a credit card, you will be miserable.

I wouldn't max it. The average 22yo guy would have no life if he maxed both his roth and 401k
