New Orleans Jazz Fest - Lineup Rumors

Anybody hearing any rumors on Jazz Fest this year? I would think there's a pretty good chance we get Tom Petty but haven't heard much other than that. Lineup has been announced in January the last couple of years so we should hear something pretty soon I would think.

I've been thinking Tom petty as well. Would also like Paul McCartney, not too far fetched when considering that Elton played recently and Mccartny frequently tours in nola

According to Tom Pettys website, the band will be in Atlanta and Houston in late April.. good indication that Jazz Fest is a possibility

Tom Petty is definitely on the lineup from what I've heard. I also heard that there will be another Meters reunion, possibly at the festival not just late night.

a lot of generic New Orleans funk and over the hill shite baby boomers liked 30 years ago. and maybe like one rap artist and some mainstream indie band to placate the youth

I'm Foo'd out, man. I felt at one point a couple of years ago they were playing here more often than Flow Tribe.

I wish they would do their own show at the SKC rather than some lame festival. Same with Pearl Jam and NIN.

I don't know about Atlanta, but I know Joe Walsh is also playing that Houston show with Tom Petty. I would think he would be a possibility as well.

Isn't U2 playing Bonnaroo? Are they a possibility for Jazz Fest?
