Natural gas, propane and electrical which do not hurt the air quality as bad.
Those things aren't available or practical in remote Alaska.

Yes, I agree. The solution is to bring in natural gas and propane via pipelines or electrical heat via electricity.

Through evil pipelines!?
No, they must be hauled in by organically fed indigenous moose who are members of the local moose union.

Bull shite. So your saying gravity only takes it as low as valleys? Not all the way to the ground? Ok bud. Does the snow stop falling to the ground in those valleys as well?
Thers SO much idiocy in your post!
And so the EPAs actually pushing them to burn more fossil fuels to HELP the air?

Ok, then who is going to pay for such infrastructure in remote locations? This has been done for warmth since man discovered fire. I'm willing to bet at the coldest time of the year in Alaska with the most wood being burned their air is cleaner than what we get from the chemical plants and refineries up and down the Mississippi River. The EPA has gotten completely out of hand to the point where cattle will probably start being taxed for farts if left unchecked. Good thing a change is in the air for their ridiculous policies.

If it's a problem then help provide a cheap, low cost solution for these folks. I doubt many up there have much disposable income to make the changes limousine liberals would like.

Read the bs article. No where does it say they are forcing them not to use it. They're just saying their air is not passing the safety standards because of that.

The size of the atmosphere over Alaska vs. the number of wood fires people use make this stupid, like saying pissing in the ocean is going to make sea levels rise.

The EPA threat is fines for non compliance.

Wait, what? You're now in favor of building more pipelines through all that natural beauty untouched by man?

Prove how green you are ralph, hold in your carbon dioxide for fifteen minutes and I'll be convinced to join your cause.

How do you idiots make it through the day?

Complete and utter horse shite... what happened through the millenia when lightning sparked a wildfire and no one was around to put it out? Ummm, lots & lots of massive wildfires that burned until their fuel was extinguished? Yet here we are.
This is just another liberal arguing point for the next few years, nothing more.

That prompted state and local authorities to look for ways to cut down on pollution from wood-burning stoves, including the possibility of fining residents who burn wood.

Said the same thing about grilling out. Also all lawn equipment would have a catalytic converter.
Freaked me out the other day when a friend /boat mechanic mentioned converter on a boat. I know they run a hotter cam as all performance engines..but still. The business I'm in, they have ruined every adhesive, paint, cleaner, etc. The kicker is, 3M, DuPont (Axalta),etc. modifies the product to EPA regulations, but they don't tell you. The can/bottle etc. stays the same, but you soon realize your go to chemical is shite. The EPA had a purpose and succeeded, but now like all these type govt.agencies, they have to pull shite out their arse to justify their existence. fricking tires dry rot before they wear out...Sorry, Done...MEGA

Fines are not an alternative heat source. Fines = govt coercion. It's the way leftists roll.
