Geaux Tigers. I think this bowl will launch us to a 10-2 or 11-1 season

First time poster but have been a long time reader. If we had Canada this year and played south Alabama we'd be 11-1. May could have beaten Bama too

We have one really tough road game next year in bama and two competitive ones with UT and Florida.

Not to be a "downer" but this LSU team had more depth and talent than any team since 2011. We were absolutely loaded with seniors and highly touted Juniors.

This was "our year" and we lost 4 games. (Albeit close losses)

I wish the Tigers all the best and will watch every game next year, but my expectation is 3 losses next year and every year until they show me they can consistently do better.

Kinda like how last year's bowl win launched a great season this year?

The point I'm making is that while it would be cool to win the bowl, I think the result has zero to do with what happens next year.

Florida and Tennessee really shouldn't be competitive games if LSU is worth a damn next year. Everyone except for Bama in the league is average at best.

You sound like a great person to hang out with. Definitely a glass half empty type person. Hate it for you. I won't lose any sleep if we lose 3, but I'm excited about our coordinators and think this could be very good for Lsu football.

Bottom line. If D White and D Alexander are semi effective at stopping the run, we'll be OK. If we cannot at least pretend to replace Beckwith we're in for a long season.

We gave up an average of 118 rushing yards at a clip of 3.155 yards/rush. and held opponents to 14.1 points a game in the 10 that he played in.
In the 1 game he didn't play in we gave up 188 rushing yards (70 over our average), at a clip of 5.70/rush (2.55 over our average) and gave up 39 points (25 over our average).

I think it will take a year before Canada has the players needed to fit his offense. My outlook is not quite as rosy.

You garnered all that from a post that states what, exactly? That this was the most talented, senior laden team since 2011 and they drastically underperformed? That I don't think we're going to win 10 or 11 games with a less talented, less mature team and a harder schedule?

If that makes me "no fun", so be it, princess snowflake. You'll be the same troll calling for CEO's head the first game we lose because you got "excited".

So you take stats over 10 games and compare them to 1 game? Fair enough....

I would bet that Canada is looking at game film like crazy now developing strategies and possible game plans,etc...He seems smart, adaptable, and energetic...I think next year will be full of excitement and fun! And no Negatigers are going to steal any of it from this ole "boy"!
