Kind of debating if I have it in me to go take a stand in the back 60. It's about a 3/4 mile walk.

Hoping to witness some more rut action.

Between yesterday evening's hunt and pictures last night it looks to be on.

Nothing but a constant stream of bucks cruising with 2 pictures of bucks running does in the food plots.

Saw two animals with 4 legs yesterday at 5:15PM, a doe and yearling. Hopefully something bigger will decide to come out to play this morning.

Good luck OB and be safe.

I wish, my 9 month old has been up for 2 hours crying because she decided to cut some new teeth yesterday. I'm going to try to make it out there in about an hour.

I was gonna text you yesterday but got sidetracked with the twins...heading to Raceland to stomp some briars this morning. I'm bringing my wife's 2 nephews. If you want, holler at me and I'll get you directions. Gonna be out there til about noon or so.

Are the hogs still thick in Woodville? I went on a hog hunt with some guys from Bastrop about 10yrs ago and the farm we hunted was infested with them. We killed 16 in one weekend.

I've had pictures of hogs on camera before but never seen them out here. We've had guys kill them on our lease but it's been a long time

Watching a doe and her youngin in the foodplot about 425 yards south of me through my binos.

Doe picks up her head looking north with ears pinned forward....I said oh oh as I slowly scanned the treeline in the direction she was looking.

Shonuff, standing at the fields edge is a 5+, 17-18 inch, 10 point. He comes out, runs over to them, harasses them for a minute, then decides they weren't what he was there for.

He proceeds to run the entire west and south treeline, stopping every 50 or so yards to sniff the ground. I watched him finally disappear into the sunrise.

I had a good shot on him at 350 yards. I was having bad glare in my scope so I passed hoping he'd do the exact opposite if what he did.

Wow, this here is what it's all about.

Wondering if he doesn't find the doe he's after if it's possible he'll loop back.
