He's never going back to the NFL. I wish these fckers would quit with these click bait stories.

If Saban were to win a SB, he would be tGOAT.

I'd take the Jacksonville job before I took the LA job.

Saban isn't going to the jags. Fact. Eos.

Saban is not an NFL coach. He's the perfect college coach and he knows that. He's a motivator and recruiter who has a nauseating attention for detail and technique. At this point in his career, his name recruits for him. All he has to do is micro manage and motivate the best talent high school has to offer. The NFL is vastly different. He would have to work his arse off with way more business aspects to his job with a gamble on who is on his roster. No way he ruins his name.

I'll say the only thing is you know it eats at his ego he's considered an NFL failure....BUT like you said the man is a college coach. He's an outstanding recruiter and is even better at exploiting the hell at of ever possible competitive advantage he legally can and an administration that happily writes the checks for him to do it.
Sure it's kind of pathetic we desperately want to attach him to every NFL opening out there but frick we can't beat the son of a bitch. They're just a monster right now

The N.O. paper is speculating that the Rams may go after the Saint's head coach, SP. He would not cost near as much in draft choices this year to buy out his contract, which runs through 2020.

I'm just thrilled that the dumpster fire named Bradley is gone. There have been rumors relating to Josh McDaniels & Tom Coughlin (either as HC or working in the office). In any case, thank god we've finally gotten rid of the worst coach of the modern era.

Failure is not why Saban left. He left because of the politics of the NFL, it was his choice! He left cause the owner of Miami wouldn't give him full control and kept intervening with what Saban wanted to do...example: Saban wanted Drew Brees, owner didn't. A lot of conflict and Saban hated it.

When are you people going to realize that Saban isn't going anywhere. He's tried the NFL and it didn't work. His style of coaching doesn't translate well to the NFL. Do you actually think those NFL players who make more than him would take those public arse chewings?

He tried that and failed. He's not gonna do it again
Probably right, but failing at Miami could be exactly the reason to try it again. Sole blemish on the resume. Rectify that, and you are not talking about the greatest college football coach any more, but the greatest football coach at all levels.
That has to entice him.

Saban doesn't want to live in London. That's where the Jags are headed.

Sorry man, this just isn't true. I've been a Dolphins fan since the late 80s. Wayne Huizenga gave him full and complete control upon hiring him, it's the only reason he took the job.
The doctors didn't clear Brees' shoulder after his visit and physical. While Saban waivered with this decision and debated with the doctors, Sean Payton was putting on the full court press. Brees called Saban one last time before signing and asked him, "coach, do you still want me?" Saban paused and didn't commit. Brees signed with the Saints the next day.

No way he's going pro. His recruiting genius is worthless, he can't out coach most pro coaches, and he can't intimidate pro players and pro reporters.
Posted on 12/19/16 at 9:17 pm to WhopperDawg
Why don't people constantly bring up Spurrier or Petrino's NFL failures, both of which were worse than Saban's NFL record? I mean, other than trying to push the agenda of "Saban isn't REALLY a good coach" or "Saban HAS to go to the NFL".
Asking for a friend.

He wouldn't be able to be as much of a dick as he is in college or was in Miami, but he could still be a hardass and Tom Coughlin in the front office is the perfect guy to help him walk that line.

But Rams fired their coach first?
Also, wake me up when Miss Terry is seen looking at homes around Jacksonville.

2 of you Bama guys have posted this. Obviously the Rams fired Fisher first, but the Jags didn't want them to have a further head start on interviews. Only guys you can interview right now are not in the NFL.
I doubt Saban would leave, but by God it would be glorious to see all the Johnny Come Lately, know little about the actual game of football Bama fans melt.
